Re: Coronavirus outbreak

quite frankly its all a load of bollocks Thankyou for summarising your ‘arguement’ so we don’t have to waste time with it. The internet is full of scientific explanation of why this is not just like seasonal flu. You seem to be in a minority of 2 and when the other one is Trump you know you are in ...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Chill. Way more people have had this virus than we think. YES We will enter a peak soon and things will slow. YES Several treatments are already showing promise and vaccines have been produced. NO, testing is only just starting We will forget about this like we forgot about the other SARS and Ebola...

Re: Enjoying or hating the no football era?

Not missing any of it, although that is helped by the fact that it’s not happening at all, rather than it’s happening but I can’t partake. Work is manic, family issues need attention and I’ve drawn up a long list of jobs/projects that have needed doing for (in some cases) years and will now actually...

Re: Royal Elm Park

Would 1000 fewer fans a game outweight the income from the development? Hmmm. And if we are challenging at the top or in the PL, that 1000 will likely be replaced by others anyway. What income? The Thai’s own that land. RFC get nothing from the development other than the £15m we sold the land for w...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Sorry, but this is becoming utterly counter productive and this thread is now officially off limits. Guessing at numbers and outcomes by those with no actual knowledge doesn’t help. Extrapolating using an obvious preexisting bias doesn’t help. I can understand that it could get bad but I reckon some...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

I think we’ll not see the rest of the games played. Even going behind closed doors is problematic if teams have players ill. If it is cancelled then promotion and relegation have to be declared null and void. Titles should still be awarded to teams currently top. I hope no one is top by virtue of ha...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

Snowflake Royal Anyone else wondering about Moore's illness now?

We've had a few off sick in the last month or two haven't we?

Pretty certain there’s been a massive cover up by the club. Explains the Wigan performance. Players seem to have recovered by the time we payed Wednesday luckily.

Re: 2019/20 Injury Watch

If we had sold him last year, I think the offer was 6 or 7 million? Really? Wasn't that the same fake story as £10 million offered by Brighton for Moore the previous year? No, it was the Wolves story. I can't remember the exact amount but the owner blocked it, it was pretty much done and dusted if ...

Re: Best centre back pairing

Moore is better on the ball than Morrison, but I think Morrison is more aware of his limitations than Moore. Moore has a tendency to surge forward 10 yards and then stop because there is nothing on and he's painted himself into a corner, whereas Morro is more likely to just play safe and go long. I...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

The Johns Hopkins University site has a daily update, every country, many by state, with confirmed cases, deaths etc. What interests me is that you may read, for example, UK 384 Cases, 6 deaths but what is not widely-reported is that just EIGHTEEN are considered recovered. Worldwide. 119,451 Confir...

https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2020/march/from-club-to-club-1871--an-open-letter/ Needed saying. I still think that if a group of older, wiser heads were to go and sit in 1871 and have words it would calm things down. Are the idiots who are acting up going to read and understand the letter ? Perh...

Re: Best centre back pairing

Not sure about Osho or McIntyre as yet. Morrison and Miazga for now and nameless you say about Morrison's poor passing but what about Moore? Since that first season I think Moore has gone downhill and is still a great blocker of shots but the rest of his game for some time has not been good enough ...

Re: Coronavirus outbreak

As it is the Posh MPs and Whitehall mob who will be making this decision. Fully expect all football matches to be played behind closed doors after the rugger has finished. Maybe before that as the last Twickers match has now been played and they have used their debenture seats for this year. I am a...

No it's at you thinking if you write fact about an opinion it makes it true. Are you deliberately being a numpty ? I made a point about something that I have seen happening. It's a clear and obvious thing, not an opinion. The guys I go to games with have commented and other people on this thread se...

Re: Best centre back pairing

Trying to put the emoji in context.

Does it mean ‘I’m pissed off because someone disagrees with me and their comment is based on what they have seen happening rather than just chipping in for the sake of it without actually having anything to back up their contribution ‘

Or am I over analysing ?

Re: BFTG Brum

Definitely a game of two halves. Overall a poor game of football, but we won. We were workmanlike in the second half. Good to get the equaliser early and the second knocked the stuffing out of the Blues and their fans. Birmingham were poor throughout. How have they got so many points? When they pla...

Snowflake Royal Really think you're overstating the problem and how often it causes issues.

That’s your right !
But I’ve been watching for a few games and it happens regularly.
Whether you agree or not doesn’t change the fact it happens.....

Re: Best centre back pairing

Teams pressure us but leave Morrison open, the ball has to go to him and he is then not able to find the good pass out of defence and the players who should be receiving the ball are all marked. Nothing unusual in that tactic. That's why Stam offloaded Jake Cooper. Wanted centre backs that were com...
