Re: Football Stadia - Past, Present & Future

Is this April 1st? What a fukkin eyesore, Battersea Power Station at least served a purpose +1 Are Brum moving elsewhere in Birmingham or to create this thing or just redeveloping Standrews? It's basically the other side of (ie inside) the ring road from where St Andrews is now. Probably easier to ...

Re: World Cup 2026

Watched the Scotland game from about 75 mins onwards. Fantastic end to the game, very pleased for them. Seemed to be one of those nights where you just have a feeling (as a neutral at least) that something would break for them and they'd do it. Incredible scenes, and some top quality goals too

Re: World Cup 2026

Silver Fox 8 more teams added in, that's 42, which seems like a lot

42 + 4 x Euro playoffs = 46

Do we know what the permutations are for the last two spaces?

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Even given the emotional pull he has for Wolves its an odd move for Edwards, Felt like Middlesbrough was a chance for him to reverse the downward trend his managerial career was taking. He was doing a good job and on track for getting into the playoff which would be seen as a successful season for ...

Re: Quiz: Every Reading player ever

Spent the first minute or so putting in common names (Smith, Jones etc) and got to almost 100. https://i.imgflip.com/1rpjs5.jpg?a489528 Williams would bag you a decent handful as well. yes, that was one of the more common names. Funnily enough this ties into a thought I had whilst watching the Stev...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

Reading are a has-been club, on the way down. We are on the up even though we lost tonight. Two and a half weeks to get these two, recent, poor results out of our system. Then we go again...not the end of the world. More lessons to be learnt by everyone and we'll come out fighting again. COYB :D A ...

Re: Reading vs Non-League

2010s - yeah, nothing - always in at Round 3 and when you get United three times ... long 2000s - i.e. from 1998 2001-02 November (H) vs Welling 1-0 twenty year gap. NGL, don't remember this, and it sounds dreadful. 2000-01 November (H) vs Grays Athletic 4-0 efficiently done 1999-2000 November (H) ...

Re: Players at Reading who you had completely forgotten about

stealthpapes Saw Chris Armstrong mentioned.

Player of Season 08-09 and revealed, after retiring, he'd been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in that season.

Fondly remembered here.

Yep, Armstrong was class that season. Very sad end to his career.

So many draws in the league:

Motherwell 5 draws from 5
Rangers and Kilmarnock 4 draws from 5
3 sides have 3 draws from 5

Celtic and Hearts both 4 wins and a draw from their 5 games and 7 points clear of 3rd placed Hibs

Why is this still a thing? Just go look at the facebook post of Sheffield united and tyler bindon welcoming himself to the club and then read all the comments If I was a player and saw that from 'fans' I'd tell the team i wouldn't play for them and go back to Reading where he is wanted Honestly baf...

Probable transfer nonsense - Knibbs leaving

Couple of Knibbs rumours on Twitter/X. First is more believable, second seems like utter tripe. 3 days ago: @transfercentre9 Norwich City have made an offer of around £1m for Reading forward Harvey Knibbs. The former Villa man got 20 G/A last season in League One from 43 games. He is set to be offer...
