Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Well they’re due to play Fleetwood on the last day of the season, who finished 11th last year. Maybe the football league will just hope/risk that the final game will have nothing riding on it. Remember back in the day when it was fairly common for some clubs to finish their season while others arou...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Deadlock
Stranded
Sanguine On that point around the final fixtures, I wonder if the league would reschedule to ensure all teams played on the last day?

Not sure how you can ensure 23 teams all play at the same time?

You could always hope Bolton fold as well.

or Coventry - or perhaps both

Oh great, another club sacks their manager a week before Reading play them. Could do without that.

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

how would their expulsion effect relegation? Do they finish bottom and are one of 2 teams to go down as usual? are they booted out and they run a 23 team league for a season with 2 still going down then 3 coming up? I guess it would be the former? Not too sure though. Would it just mean relegation ...

I love all the talk about needing Swift for his set pieces when they're frequently consistently awful. Not consistently awful though are they. Sometimes they are brilliant, though agree the majority are shit Just don’t see anyone else taking them any better though Caskey, Shorey then Hart. Three pl...

Until they gel I expect. Wasn't being critical. It just strikes me as a word that will get a lot of use. Hehe no worries :) I could say cohere,... any English boffins out there have a good single word we might use instead? You're right though, I think it will be a feature in our discussions for a l...

Cruciate gone. Liverpool are pfucked. 6-8 weeks out. Incredible healing abilities. Re the Norwich game - Liverpool looked as potent going forward as last season, but I think Klopp will be concerned by the defence, which was breached a few times, especially in the first 20 minutes, when Pukki kept f...

windermereROYAL Plymouth away. shit.

Tim D will be happy! He was hoping for Plymouth or Exeter or someone in the West Country as apparently he’s away in the west that week (w/c 26 Aug) so was worried it’d be too awkward to get to the game

Sounds like Reading are having the better of it but can't finish for toffee. Really need to get a striker in the next window

It's being set up for Akinfenwa to come on for that late winner for Wycombe isn't it....

Pretty much sure they are given there are 7 div.2 games scheduled on the Wednesday whereas in the days before red button there would be no more than a couple at most

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

How long did Obita get on the pitch I wonder. Presume he'll just get 45 minutes and then they'll see whether there's any reaction. Then I presume he'll get an hour in the next U23.

If all goes well he might get to the first team bench in September.
