Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

Was watching with my son, said last season/ few seasons we would have crumbled once one down but there is something about this group now they have found the ability to get back into games and get a lead then not f*** it up. Was a scratchy game we were the better team throughout, not great but battle...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

For those able to watch, how did Bodin do? Stat based match rating suggests he was a bit shit. Nice chest down for Wing but other than that nothing really, still yet to see anything from him. In his defence we are still lacking going forward but he didn’t fill me with confidence that he is going to...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h)

Agree with Brouge not having Smith appeared to help but also agree we will miss the goals Smith grabs. Wareham was great yesterday not perfect but seemed in the game where as recent performances he appeared to be grasping at things. Hope he can continue it. Where was that performance in last 3 games...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (a)

Hunty’s our manager and we have to stick by him. Yes, he’s no Ruben, but Ruben is history now. Yesterday was awful, but for me the results are all immaterial until Dai oxf*rd off. I know we have Kelvin E, but Smith is our only senior striker. When you compare our options to the likes of Brum, Holly...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leyton Orient (a)

The last 2 games we have lacked in every department, the loss Mbengne is huge not just defensively he is the heartbeat of the team, his personality drives the others. He adds pace to the defence by default speeding things up. Everything we have done in last 2 games has been slow and laboured with co...

Mr Angry A tight, hard fought battle with us nicking it 1-0.

You mean long awaited injury time winner that seems an eternity since we scored that most wonderful of football feelings a last minute winner :D

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton athletic (a)

Very decent point, yes they were more dominant in latter part of game but overall the main chances were even, Charlton commentary ( which was in the main ok) completely forgetting the similar off the line blocks and Smith’s one on one. Felt we were more organised today still too much head tennis at ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (a)

The complaint we had with Ruben early on (and often) so slow to start a game giving the other team the upper hand and then a goal, all impetus is with the other team then was here again in full force. Thought we were poor but were beginning to get into the game before the sending off, don’t get me w...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Walsall (a)

I want Wareham to succeed. I think I've seen enough to know he likely won't. Yes was impressed with him when came into team, last few games bar a few nice touches been mainly anomonous getting concerned that he might not be good enough. Hope I’m wrong and he’s just having a blip as he learns his tr...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stockport County (a)

Lucky for me back in hotel room…feel for those on the buses and trains… Whilst the Ref and Lino were atrocious, it was no excuse, We were outmuscled from the first whistle, a non existent press just played into Stockport’s hands allowing them to grow in confidence. Sadly Garcia looked his age tonigh...

Anyone old enough to know who Mick Hollis is shouldn't be allowed to post. Sadly you’re not far wrong as only when reading this stuff does it jog the grey matter! Do remember Mike Hollis and definitely Dennis Nelson as his son came into my class at Battle school, lovely family, lived below our best...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

Oh the irony!… constantly slated for being tinpot and no atmosphere, playing in a soulless bowl. We show passion and support for a team that is literally battling adversity on and off pitch they say we celebrate like won the cup as has been said elsewhere we are just happy we still have something to...
