Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I see the South Stand isn't available to purchase online for the Brentford game. Has it sold out or is the initiative not being run this weekend? You have to ring the ticket office up to get a ticket. They've done it for a few of them to stop away fans trying to book tickets online for it I believe.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

This is such a reductive argument. Yes I'm sure now if we played in a 6000 seater stadium in the 4th tier we would have a better atmosphere. Unfortunately were in the championship in a new build 24,000 seater stadium. I really don't get your argument. The atmosphere was shit/is shit. Everyone unani...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I don't agree with that. Y26 hasn't exactly been full for most of the season and the South stand has only had higher attendances for the last few games. What was Y26 suffering from before when 1871 were only getting 200 in there? If people moving means there will be a better atmosphere in a differen...

Just call the ticket office and buy a ticket for the South or swap a current ticket for there. It's not exclusive to season ticket holders only.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I was sceptical at first but I think they've been brilliant, especially the last few games. While Y25/26 has been silent for the majority of most games the 1871 lot have continuously sang throughout and considering how few of them there are just think how much louder it will be if more start to join...

Were the Derby lads looking for it or was it completely unprovoked?

Re: Club 1871

The East Stand has been poor for most of the last few seasons. There are still enough people in Y25/26 to make plenty of noise so no reason why a hundred odd people in the South Stand should drown out the thousands that sit in the East. That Said at least you get banter between the East stand and tr...

Re: South Stand Singers For Sunderland (H)

I think it's a good idea so long as they don't just start copying European Ultras with the megaphone nonsense, huge flags getting waved about and co-ordinated clapping to the same tunes as everyone else.Just good vocal support for 90 minutes is all that's needed.

Would be interested in joining this next season if it carries on. No need for a megaphone though, just need everyone singing.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Hull City (a) sponsored by Mr William Whitehurst

Ah, looks like it's been deleted. Moore, McCleary and Gunter came out to have a chat to a few fans after the game before getting on the coach. A supporter then tweeted having a go at Liam Moore for "his attitude" during the conversation, although apparently all he did was disagree that it...

Re: BFT £&*@!! - Burton

Having criticised our fans and attendance before, today was the perfect opportunity for Stam to give a lot of fans a good reason to return. Instead he helps orchestrate one of the worst games I can remember for a long time and must have left a lot of people remembering why it is they haven't been go...

Re: Mad Stad atmosphere rated 2nd worst in league

Lots of reasons why we don't produce a good atmosphere a lot of the time but hopefully future developments like Green Park station, the new complex and Beefeater across the road, the carpark development etc will help improve it as it will feel a bit less remote and be more accessible with more food ...

Now let me sum up my main gripe of the day. Kids/teenagers that claim to be supporters of our club, a f*cking disgrace inside and outside of the ground. what do you get from that behaviour on the train? noisy and obnoxious. Did you get a kick from knocking the old lady to the ground when we scored ...

Re: Oxford - Reading

I can see us playing Oxford quite soon. They are quite a well supported club and have bigger plans. Let's just hope they get a 4th stand by that time so we can take a good load up there. We will be back playing them within a year or two. For me they are the biggest rivals - but that is from growing...
