Re: Rival Watch

Would happily see Stoke go If Wigan do end up going down or into admin, reckon there's a few decent players that could be worth looking at. I think other than Brentford they were the best side I've seen this season strangely. Sam Morsy for example would be a decent Pele replacement. Moore up front ...

Who would you relegate

As there seems to be a lot of opinion on other threads as to who you would like to be relegated I thought it might be worth a poll. Gives a cross section of who our supporters don’t like. Only teams not mathematically safe are listed.

Re: Reading players out of contract in summer 2020

How does anyone think ‘show pony’ in any way describes Moore ? I could probably list a couple of dozen Reading players from various eras that were exactly that but Moore is pretty much a WYSIWYG central defender. No frills, no airs, no thoughts that he is the next Bobby Moore, rarely cries off with...

Re: Would this ex-players team get promoted?

Seeing a few of our ex-players performing quite well recently I wondered how we might have done fielding a team of players who are still playing but making positive allowance for age in some cases. I needed to include loan players to get a decent squad so this is my recommendation (4-4-2):- McCarth...

Re: Reading players out of contract in summer 2020

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/footballleaguefc.com/reading-fc-2019-20-player-wages/ I know this is to be taken with a pinch of salt but above is a link to the wages of our players put together from various sources. Interesting that if every player leaves that is out of contract out our weekly wage ...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Just seen Chey Dunkley is on a free at Wigan and with there troubles would be a good shout to give the CB cover. broke his leg in February but would be ready for next season from what I gather. he has always seemed like a 1 man wall before the injury and the one player I would have had out of there ...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

I think it will be better to look at formations currently we play 1 of 2 from what I have seen recently and then fill in the gaps. best practice is to have 2 for each position. first formation is kind of a 4-2DCM-2ACM-2CF very central and fullback popping up for crosses or ACm spreading wide to cros...

Re: Rival Watch

Not looking too good for Hull They’ve announced that Lichaj, Irvine, Kingsley and Maddison have failed to reach agreements with the club and therefore won’t play any further part in their season. Without knowing too much about Hull, think there’s a couple of key players there If they stay up then a...

Re: Season Indicator

I got us finishing 7th/8th just out the play offs which I still think is optimistic. Would be nice to finish mid table though around 12th. On the relegation front this could be the most interesting part to the end of the season. Boro just look like they are ready to give up. Wigan are on the rise b...
