Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h) sponsored by Craig Maskell

Saturday - in 90 minutes away, Reading had 16 shots, with 10 on target and 5 goals. Today, it's 7 shots, with one on target for no goals in 60 minutes at home. Is Huddersfield that much better than Luton Town (4 points as it stands)?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (h) sponsored by Craig Maskell

Maybe it's just me, but I feel Reading at home play not to lose, planning for a late goal and a 1-0 win while on the road they try to bring the game to their opponents. IMO, not a valid home plan, and it has cost them this season... and well may again tonight.

Sky Sports reports that Reading FC have withdrawn their offer to Danny Loader.

By Adam Goodwin - Last Updated: 25/05/20 11:08pm "Reading have informed Loader they have withdrawn an offer of a new long-term deal, citing the unprecedented situation the club faces due to the coronavirus pandemic." He wasn't likely to sign it anyway. Sad to see him go and wish him good l...

Down to 27% now, per the BBC. As we saw with Stamball, it's not always how long you have possession, but what you do with it that counts.

Per the BBC, Reading's last shot was at 52'...

and like their prior two, was not on target.

Nice to see the win out, but the last 20 minutes or so were a bit tense. Three needed points and a step upwards in the Table.

Miazga's injury a worry, but it seems McIntyre did well (with the exception of a missed clearance) in his place to help secure the clean sheet. Young McIntyre may see a lot of game time if Miazga is out for an extended period.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (a) sponsored by Steve Francis

Goals... I seem to recall reading that those things change games... now, where might that have been? Despite the possession stats, we have had 4 attempts on target to their 2. Sometimes, it's not how long you have the ball but what you do with it when you do have it. We've been on the wrong end of ...

Edit: RFC may not get to 40% possession, but 2 goals must count for something?

I love this one! Thought about this after the game and found it's already been thought of! To me it's got a lot going for it. Simple. Original? (don't think anyone else uses this tune?) I would suggest we change it slightly - We've got Puşcaş Whoa, whoa whoa Georgie Puşcaş Whoa, whoa whoa wo Repeat...

Snowflake Royal That's actually not a bad showing given half of Chelsea's goals were absolute gifts that wouldn't be scored in most games.

We can hope they would not.

Not the MM signing I (and I think most of us) would have preferred, but Matt Miazga seems unlikely to be headed back to Reading, so M Morrison seems a good step forward.

Re: Next Season's Squad.

JLow reports that Lewis Baker and Matt Miazga have both been left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour to Spain [sic; 99.7% sure the Chelsea tour is to Japan, not Spain, but he and Reading are in Spain, so...]. That seems to allow some glimmer of hope for familiar reinforcements.
