Re: BFTG - HULL CITY (AWAY)

So just after half time, we brought on Puscas and looked like we paired him up front with Meite, with Joao tucked in behind them. Swift was playing over on the leftwith Rinhomota on the right i think. It was all pretty strange and bizarre but it caused total havoc and Hull couldn't cope!! After wave...

Re: First choice starting XI

I'm guessing Jose will have to rotate the squad to keep everyone happy! i notice both posts above have Swift on the bench, yet three days ago he was our main source of midfield creation and will he be happy coming off the bench week in week out? Its a great problem to have, and who gets the nod upfr...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

This is all very surreal at the moment and i wouldn't be surprised if we move a few players on tomorrow before the deadline. I would guess that either Barrow, Meite or Loader would be the ones most sought after. Meite would be in high demand after scoring again on Saturday, Barrow has been mentioned...

Re: CONFIMRED - Puscas

This Puscas chap looks the real deal from the video clips and i really cannot believe we've got under the radar and signed him. I suspect we'll be luckily to get two years out of him at best if he scores goals!! he'll leave for a big premier or European club for loads of dosh i guess. So a smart mov...

Re: Where will we finish?

7th-9th.....Looking good at the back.....midfield looking like it has a bit more steel and understanding and just need a striker to find his shooting boots... No reason why we can't achieve this.....the way we break forward looks wonderful to watch at times...For the first time in a couple of seaso...

Re: Where will we finish?

Once the table settles down after the first 10 - 15 games, it tends to split into three groups, the strugglers (Bottom Six) the top two and play off candidates (Top Eight) and the rest lol. We were in that bottom group last season and it made for a nail biting finish, and in the end getting our five...

Re: Jose “3-4 Signings This Week”

I thought Ejaria looked quite good in three different positions without really shining in any of them. Was most impressed with him as part of a Baker-Rinomhota-Ejaria midfield. Would not be keen on Rinomhota-Ejaria-Swift. Guess I could see East-Rinomhota-Ejaria working? Howdy Sciag, where do you se...

Re: Pre season tour

the earlier games, the players will just play 45 mins and swap at h/t. Won't be too demanding Wouldn’t be surprised to see something like this on Saturday: Walker Watson Moore McIntyre Blackett Kelly Rino Meite Swift Barrow Loader With the second half being people like Howe, Richards, Osho, Holmes,...

Re: Relegation watch

Regarding us (Reading Fc) this season, i honestly think that with a trimmed down squad (If the 6 mentioned) all leave and with Jose's philosophies and feel good football, as well as bringing the U-23s into the team, and of course with the odd addition to the squad (Keeper, CB and Midfielder) i think...

Re: Relegation watch

Not to sure about Forest, think they will be safe mid table tbh, but i would add Charlton and Blackburn to that list. Both should keep their heads above water but will flirt with the bottom 8. Maybe Sheff Weds as well, they are rumoured to be on a soft transfer embargo as well and their form wasn't ...

Re: Are we screwed?

We're in the same dangerous territory we've been in for years. But a lot of the repairs have started. A tight, well motivated, drilled and dedicated squad can take you a long way in the Championship and there's plenty of promise in our Academy. With the work we're doing, even if the worst happens a...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Rino, Swift and Loader would be one of the worst midfield trio we've ever seen. Imagine the likes of Warnock, Pulis and co against those three, they'd have a field day Add to that Blackett and Moore aren't exactly tall, neither Obita and Yiadom. Our two tallest players would be our striker and RW. ...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

So its looking a bit grim on the transfer front thanks to FFP, but its not all doom and gloom just yet! we still have a competitive squad which would still just about hang on to safety i guess. So if we where to put a squad out today with the players currently on our books i would go for: Southwood...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Agreed Ian. It’s very early to be selling/signing players. I am though concerned there will be little interest in the likes of Popa, Meyler, Walker, Kelly, Watson etc let alone the likes of Gunter, Baldock and GMac who are still involved in the squad. We know Hibs want McNulty. It would be nice to ...

Re: Rumour - Danny Loader

Loader is clearly work in progress, but this guy has scored goals at every level he's played in so far, including on the International scene. I mentioned in a previous post, regarding the goal he scored against Boro, his positioning and movement to get himself away from the defender and have the con...

Re: Rumour - Danny Loader

We really need to be keeping hold of our youngsters and trying to build the club around our shining academy players. Loader is clearly going to be a star, he's still young and raw at the moment but we've all seen that there's a talented kid in there. He has great movement and the way he took that g...
