Re: January Transfer Window

Beerens was certainly under rated in his time here - he was top class early in his first season particularly Really didn’t fit into Stam season 2 side though and was pretty awful in it Also think Ola John would fit in quite well for similar reasons always remember his pace and skill. he kind of dis...

Re: Bowen Out.

I feel the Summer transfer window will be incredibly important, we have a team that with the right additions could become a promotion chasing club I reckon. I've seen many false dawns - and tbh it's seasons where I'm expecting nothing we've done quite well. Bu, yes, therre are glimmers of possibili...

Re: Bowen Out.

Its not a case of having sympathy or shedding tears. Its simply a) making usable players unusable (esp Baldock who we really could have used early doors), and b) upsetting the squad. Obviously b) is more difficult to make judgement on, but it certainly wouldn't have helped having 2 popular players ...

Re: January Transfer Window

Looking back you could tell it was going to be shocking transfer wise in 2017 as in January Reading signed Adrian Popa and loaned Zat Knight, Reece Oxford and Jordon Mutch, but they did get Lewis Grabban on loan and then promptly failed to play him as a forward. Net result - very poor return. The s...

AthleticoSpizz No shame at all...so just what is a tifo ?

Display created by everyone holding up a piece of card, in different colours, or something like that. e.g., the one with stripes for our playoff game.

Maybe the fans going to Leeds could do one that read "Twenty's plenty"

Re: Leeds (A) Saturday February 22nd

They are not in the Premier League yet...... I just suggested what I expected the price to be. But seriously though, if there is a £30 cap in the premier league, I just don't understand how there isn't a Championship cap in place. Wasn't it argued that the TV rights in the Premier League mak...

Re: Player of the season so far...

Right now, I think I'd give it to Méïté, but think a number of players (including Rafael and Morrison) are in with a shout. Let's see how the next 10 games pan out.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

It's almost like Citeh have got more resources available to cover such things than we do. No excuse. If the club had any sense they would be creative. Perhaps there is someone who takes a major interest in the Academy sides, has decent knowledge, goes to lots of games.... Perhaps the club could app...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

If it's good enough for Michael Hector it's good enough for Andre Burley. What? Hector had a few months in the LOI, with Dundalk when he was 18. Would have been longer but he injured his knee and was out for a while. Both Burley and Odimayo played the full 90 in Waterford's opening game of the seas...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

As per Twitter: Seems strange.. They hinted that John O'Shea had some influence. Yep. Interview is in the Irish Times (behind a paywall), so here it is in full. Waterford are a decent side - same with Derry City (where Adam Liddle has gone). Amid the flurry of loan deals being completed in time for...

Re: CONFIMRED - Ayub Timbe.

How do you pronounce Timbe? Timber or Timbay? Or Timbee? I'm guessing it will be Timb-eh, but add the Reading accent to it and we'll be saying Timbay. In fact we won't be saying it at all as his name is Masika. There's a link on the wikipedia page here to listen to the pronunciation. sounds like Ti...

Re: Rival Watch

Is there any chance we could have a Rival Watch thread that discusses rivals? Edit: I think a few of us have posted more-or-less simultaneously there. Every team in the Championship is a rival. The original idea behind the thread was to discuss the teams directly around and competing with us for pr...

Re: Ayub Timbe.

Yes it does. I don't know why they couldn't be arsed to have proper names like us. Proper English names so we can understand them. And why they have to speak a different language baffles me too. It's not like English is difficult. Even toddlers manage it FFS. And don't even get me started on them i...

Sure, but just 20 of those in the last two years. And how did he get a work permit? By not needing one as he has dual nationality ? AthleticoSpizz Lol yeah Murhino, but which way rivals in this league should we be looking?

Shrug. The ones around us I guess. Or every team in the division. But not focussing on just one team, that aren't particularly near us anyway.
