Re: 2019/20 Injury Watch

Yiadom out for "at least 6 weeks" but Swift is recovering faster than expected.

Re: BFTG Birmingham

The most frustrating game in ages - Bowen showing all of his inexperience as a manager and making all the mistakes he could possibly make in one game, including throwing the players under a bus afterwards. Short of replacing Rafael with Virginia, I can't think of worse substitutions / tactics. The o...

Imagine being given tickets to this game as a Christmas present  . Be divorcing the parents for that As long as the buses are running, don’t mind tbh. Can have a few beers before etc. Will be wanting to kill the entire family by that stage so actually works quite well Reading Buses have confir...

Re: Blackpool (H) FA Cup 4th Jan

Really good pricing for this one, as expected. Are tickets on sale now? Also 3.01pm kick off, is that a typo or an actual thing? No it is an actual thing: http://www.thefa.com/news/2019/dec/02/fa-cup-third-round-one-minute-heads-up-021219 Whether the tickets are on sale yet or not, I'm not sure. No...

yeah yeah I get all that. The point being is to 99% people who come across him, reporting on Reading FC IS his job. No doubts he does plenty of other stuff behind the scenes, but surely he realises it comes across as a comment open to ridicule Not really. It’s a part time job that won’t be paying m...

Re: How sustainable are we?

OK, so I will answer seriously. I'm unaware of what the club are doing in terms of some of the big hitters e.g. energy consumption, fuel use, water use, choice of club vehicles, etc. but they do seem to be missing some of the small, obvious things e.g. clearly marked and readily available recycling...

Re: 2019/20 Injury Watch

Baldock and Ejaria should be back for selection Obita still a doubt Joao struggling with his knee, also a doubt Swift out frustrating with Joao. Bizarre comment from JLow: Not at today's press conference due to work commitment I wonder what goes on his world sometimes Um, presumably, his job? He's ...

Re: January Transfer Window

I haven't seen him play under Bowen yet either, but by all accounts he did well on Saturday. I reckon on his two starts under Bowen, he’s been pretty decent. Before that, he did look pretty average but he’s a better shield for the defence than Rino is I think It’s a difficult one. Rino, Ejaria and ...

but I will stick to my theory that you will need the lowest points tally required to get into 2nd at end of season, lowest points tally to finish 6th and you will need the highest to finish in 21st place. I clearly need coffee, I thought you were saying you needed higher points to finish in 21st th...

You just can't accept someone telling you that you're wrong, you have a track record of it. Grow up. Pot, meet kettle Why is it when there is a football related disagreement the two people involved can't just resolve it themselves? Butt out. I can comment on whatever I like, you don't own the board...

Struggling to think of any other 29yr olds who 'should be playing Champions League football' out on loan for successive seasons at clubs in the division below and utterly ignored by all other top flight teams despite their parent club being publicly open to offers. Sneaky suspicion this is just you...

Re: Gunter - did Stam make him shit?

Forest fans rated Gunter as an attacking full back. We saw in our final home game last season how good he can be as attacking full back He has never let Wales down against top international sides. I remember watching his cross for Vokes’ goal against Belgium and wondering why he doesn’t do that for...

Re: Gunter - did Stam make him shit?

He is capable of great things, but he is....well.....just a boring and cautious right back. Having said that Hazard and De Bryne and the rest of the Belgians who were world number 1 ranked and indeed targeting his side in 3 games never got passed him. Scored just once and that was a long range effo...

karbota After that performance I think Gunter should now be the number one. Yiadoms turn to sit on the bench.

Nope. Can see why he might be started ahead of Richards, but not Yids.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

If the point of Club 1871 is still to support the players, improve the atmosphere etc etc with positive chants/singing/clapping and not to antagonise the away fans/have a sing song with the away fans then why do they need to be sat in the away end next season? Why not make the Club 1871 area a sect...
