Re: Team photo

Which season was the last team photo taken? Don’t remember there being one in the last couple of seasons, presumably the club couldn’t afford a professional photographer. I’d have it taken at Bearwood, should the club ever manage to get a squad of players large enough to make such a picture worthwh...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Thought Couhig comes over very well on the interview Get the impatience to have the squad in place and obviously with so few under contract we do need to work quickly there, but fully agree getting the infrastructure and foundations right for the future is massively important and like the things he...

Re: The generic transfer thread

The four Tottenham keepers all went up and nabbed a Europa League final medal, leaving Son who was last in the line without. https://www.aljazeera.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/2025-05-21T212837Z_1503193376_UP1EL5L1NI5OZ_RTRMADP_3_SOCCER-EUROPA-TOT-MUN-REPORT-1747863019.jpg?resize=1800%2C1800

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

If there really is a Huntley and Palmers connection to the shirt, I think there's an opportunity to do a special edition biscuit tie-in. I'd buy some. TBF, they did a nice one for the 150th anniversary. https://images.webapi.gc.readingfcservices.co.uk/fit-in/1400x1400/92ccc240-491b-11ec-8fab-c530b8...

Re: Rumour - 'Keeper Coach Tony Warner wanted by Wigan

Stayed up in Liverpool last year for the Carlisle away match and saw him jogging through the streets on the Sunday. Suspect he's still got a place and family up there. Ince brought him in didn't he?

They're reconstructing the pitch too. https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2025/may/29/pitch-renovation/ https://www.barryrudolph.com/extras/nah.gif Strange, page must have been deleted. They've reposted it today. https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2025/may/30/pitch-renovation/

Re: Doing the 92

Yeah, I count old grounds too. Currently on 71, 3 missing from PL / Championship, 5 from L1 and 13 from L2. Hoping for a bit more luck in the cup draws next season. Walsall was the only new one bagged last season.

Am thinking there's some sort of flower motif in one of the kits. It's crept into their most recent social media posts.

Re: Who do you want in the first home and away games?

All depends on the kick off time. Last year all opening L1 fixtures kicked off at 5:30pm on the Saturday so if the same scheduling applies you'd like anyone at (H) or an Orient/AFC Wimbledon (A) for an all day drinking session in London prior. Interestingly* L1 and L2 start a week before the Champi...

Re: Season Tickets 25/26

Good last week: more season tickets sold in first 5 days than in first eight weeks last year! Obviously there's the frozen prices and Bearwood visit incentives, but that's promising. Surely they've got to be trying to reach 8.5–9K season ticket holders for next season. Get a few more of the key OOC...

In distance order. Assume Sutekh's mileage is from the SCL, in which case Brisbane Road is 50 miles, not 80. 1. Blackpool – 243 miles 2. Bradford City – 220 miles 3. Bolton Wanderers – 218 miles 4. Wigan Athletic – 208 miles 5. Huddersfield Town – 206 miles 6. Stockport County – 202 miles 7. Plymout...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

It's not really ground gradings and Blackburn Women played most of their games last season at Ewood Park. Problem was not many people went to watch them. WSL 2 sides are expected to essentially operate full‑time, professional teams. The list of criteria is believed to include requirements for clubs...

Selles to Huddersfield I tell you what Saints should take a long hard look and bring Selles back in They are talking about that English guy from Lens? Will Still. Think that will be a good move for Southampton. Did really well at Reims and was looking decent at Lens. Came across excellently on MNF ...
