Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Ibrahima Sonko

Would prefer if Miazga and Swift were fit obvs, but looks ok for an away game at Stoke

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (a) sponsored by Ibrahima Sonko

Rafael Gunter Moore Miazga Blackett Pele Adam Meite Ejaria Joao Baldock Walker Obita Morrison Rino McCleary Boye Puscas Wouldn't stray too far from this, but wouldn't select a third LB in 3 games. Would go back to Richards if Obita not 100% Not sure Adam can do 2 games in 4 days either, but maybe h...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Didn’t watch and haven’t been following that closely but there are a few that seem to have stalled a bit

Thinking Pendlebury, Nolan and Lawless particularly. Any truth in that?

Re: BFTT Barnsley

"fast attacking football"? Last night it was nearly all hit and hope long balls and dreadful to watch. For now we should perhaps give Bowen the benefit of the doubt because there is not the midfield axis of Swift and Ejaria that was so good back in August in particular v Cardiff. Barnsley...

Snowflake Royal
muirinho Yiadom out for "at least 6 weeks" but Swift is recovering faster than expected.

I wonder how long it would be if he was rested or subbed early against brum.

could ask the same of Swift against Leeds.

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Yep a good read. Obviously really hurt GMac and I do wonder how reading that makes Mafff and his bunch of tosser mates feel (though I thought at the time and still do that McCleary took it too much to heart - though maybe easy for me to say) There’s one thing saying he isn’t good enough to play for ...

Re: BFTT Barnsley

yep as said elsewhere, a point at Barnsley isn't as bad as some are trying to suggest.

They were pretty good in midfield, but yeah, the defence didnt look too hot.

Stoke could get within a couple of points of us with a win - its another no-lose really. Would take a point happily enough

Re: BFTT Barnsley

part of the problem was it was quite a long pass across the face of the goal. It gave the Barnsley attacker that extra second or two to close him down. And as stated the pitch wasn't great either, so MM had to take care to control the ball. It wasn't a great idea to pass to him, but then he should h...

Re: BFTT Barnsley

Having had a bit of time to recover from watching it, I think a lot of the criticism is a bit of an overreaction tbh A cold Wednesday evening in Barnsley, who have just come off a good home win and a couple of reasonable performances in defeat, we kick a goal into our own net, and still come away wi...

Old Man Andrews The usual suspects on social media calling for Bowen's head already. He was a genius only 2 weeks ago against Wigan btw.......

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a) sponsored by Simon Osborn

Well Puscas is getting a break from the look of it

I’m hoping we improve vastly with Swift and Baldock back in, and hopefully Ejaria improving massively in that display last night. Obviously 3 very impt players

Re: BFTT Barnsley

Certainly not a great performance but there were positives Barnsley looked reasonably good going forward and had a lot of energy. Don’t think they are a terrible side. An away point is always handy We looked sharp up front I thought. Puscas held the ball much better, Joao a handful, Meite a bit bett...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a) sponsored by Simon Osborn

I'd use 4-4-2 to chase games, rather than to start with it when Swift is back because there's no way he fits in a 4-4-2 unless he's shunted out onto the wing Ejaria won't work in a 2 man midfield, far too much messing around with the ball once again tonight. It's a real shame Rino is playing as poo...
