Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Stranded
Winston Biscuit Birmingham ask their players to take a 50% pay cut for the next 4 months

Think all Championship clubs are in the process of arranging that . Brum just the first. Players will be paid back the extra once football resumes as their salaries are protected I believe.

That isn't a pay-cut then.

Re: Season 2020/21 - When Will It Start? - Sponsored by Covid-19

Yeah, October sounds about right but is still very much an unknown. Purely an idle thought on the FA Cup, but maybe the prize monies could be pooled and shared out amongst the ‘non-league’ teams, with the competition being exclusively open to FL teams only.....yeah, stinks doesn’t it? On the subjec...

Season 2020/21 - When Will It Start? - Sponsored by Covid-19

Take a punt when you think the new season will start, and will we have both domestic competitions? I'm going for October, and I'm expecting the League Cup and FA Cup to be scrapped for the season. League Cup binned to reduce fixture congestion, and the FA Cup has next to no chance as it starts in th...

My Sky Sports is a month-to-month bolt on. I'm binning it until August. No point throwing money away.

Re: Royal Elm Park

Would 1000 fewer fans a game outweight the income from the development? Hmmm. And if we are challenging at the top or in the PL, that 1000 will likely be replaced by others anyway. What income? The Thai’s own that land. RFC get nothing from the development other than the £15m we sold the land for w...

Snowball Wow

Uk deaths jump from 11 to 21 in a single day

90,000 die every year from the Flu, but please do keep buying into the fear-mongering being peddled left and right.

Re: Royal Elm Park

Still hate the thought of this and hope it doesn’t come to fruition. The lack of parking around the stadium due to recent local developments has certainly had an effect on attendances even if only a small one. Losing the parking spaces at the ground will have an even bigger impact. It’s not as simpl...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

C1871, will you/the club consider season tickets next season being in their specified seat? This way you have an element of control of who sits where. Idiots playing up to the crowd can then be punished or moved by the club closer to the West Stand if need be.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I’m still fully being C1871 but I get some back pain and can’t sit as then I can’t see, plus the atmosphere does lack more often than not. I’ll move my season ticket back to Y25 soon or even to the upper west.

The Enfield Royal71
The Enfield Royal71 Where is everybody sitting on Sat? Shall we meet up at the kfc for lunch at 12 and then the hotel bar for a big sesh?

Anybody?

A big sesh in the hotel? If you’re buying!

I’ll be enjoying some street food and then a couple of cans of cider before kick-off. Fancy paying club prices!

Never going to happen.

He’s a massive wage and we’re busy removing those as best we can. We certainly wouldn’t be adding them to the wage bill, especially those that are rarely fit!

Move on.

So the owners other club KSV Roeselare haven’t been paying their players, and Tevreden hadn’t received a pay check for over 5 months before walking out last week. The Chinese are selling the club but they haven’t gone about it the right way. I hope they don’t wash their hands with us like that in th...

I watched the ten minutes highlights again last night and I can’t help but lack confidence in Virginia. He’s got weak wrists and slow reactions. I can see a season of chopping and changing between him and the useless Walker.

Re: Are we still heading for a 9pt deduction?

Regarding income, it sounds like Tiago Ilori could be on the move again and we still own 40% of him. I didn’t know that but there’s summit about it online today.
