Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

It's baffling to me how the BBC can do commentary coverage for all games, but their commentary isn't available on their own website because it's being broadcast through a niche private third party paywall instead.

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

BBC Radio Berks just went off air online. Surely they can't have just forgotten to turn it off for four and a half games and only now noticed!?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (a) sponsored by away goal search

Clearly missing Obita as the LWB, but otherwise that should be a very competitive side. Berg and Kelly should keep the ball moving well. Bodvarsson should offer the focal point we've missed, Barrow giving the pace and creativity, Bacuna offering a driving outlet through midfield. And plenty of spine...

Re: RUMOUR - Jordan Hugill

I'm amazed by the number of people saying surely we could have signed a striker by now every time we reportedly have a bid turned down. Firstly, we have signed a striker. Bodvarsson. Secondly, clearly our lack of a second striker signed is not for the want of trying. We've been linked to almost ever...

Re: EFL Cup third-round draw will take place in Beijing at 04:15 BST on Thursday

Wow a grown man(baby) more attached to one cheap plastic seat identical to 24000 others, than a particularly neurotic 4 year old is to their blankie. Presumably because he's soiled it so much over the years it smells like he does. The levels of over-entitlement and mistaken feelings of superiority o...

Re: Striker in?

Why can't we just buy a player who is just a striker? - players who can play "as a winger or a striker" are just going to be attacking midfielders. We want a true number 9 - someone who will play up front and not feel the need to drop into midfielder cos it feel natural Nicky Forster, Kev...

Re: 8.00 Evening kick offs

Of course everyone on here is going to argue for what suits them but I'm with the original poster. In this day of increased workplace flexibility where many people can leave the office at 4pm or work from home, 8pm leaves me kicking my heels for hours before the game only to have to make a mad rush...

Re: Rumour - Dave Edwards

It's like Stam's trying to bolster our midfield with players who have a bit of everything (and well) in Bacuna and Edwards. Particularly giving more goals. Which is unsurprising given we'll often play one up front and none of our attackers are reliably prolific, so he seems to be trying to add goals...

Re: Is Stam getting unsettled?

We've got 2 big central strikers, plenty of wingers and a number of players who play in attacking roles. If it wasn't for injuries we wouldn't be saying we are short of strikers. It's debateable whether spending £10 million on a striker as injury cover makes sense, although of course it would be lo...
