Re: BF I follow Barnsley

I don't think I'd be looking to Citeh for stats comparisons to us. Weak response. I actually think its a perfect example - if the best-in-the-world equivalent of Swifts role also had a low % completion (relative to his teammates) despite putting on a MOTM performance, why should we expect Swi...

Re: BF I follow Barnsley

I think it's a misconception than a higher percentage will be higher risk. I think the volume of passes you expect there means whilst the absolute number of high risk passes is high compared to others, it's actually a low percentage of his passes. You want your playmaker involved as much as possible...

Re: BF I follow Barnsley

And there was a lot of sloppy control. Swift had the lowest pass accuracy of any of our starters. The most unsuccessful touches The joint second most dispossessed Just to insert an element of objectivity. His performances have been distinctly lacklustre since the restart having been one of our best...

Re: Rival Watch

So if a majority say we should all go to C of E church next Sunday, atheists, agnostics, Jews, Muslims and Catholic etc should go as ordered Do you really believe all those taking the knee WANT TO take the knee? I would refuse. I would happily die for my refugees or my “son in law” by fcuk will I k...

Re: Rumour - Perry Ng

I'm in no way itk, it's just someone I know who happened to work with an ex player over the summer but the impression I got was that it went a little bit deeper than just not liking him but a serious breakdown in the working relationship with a number of squad members. Also, the player in question ...

Re: Rival Watch

It should NOT be led by the FA or any organisation, that's the point! It's a personal gesture, and if the FA (for example) says, "You must kneel" then the gesture isn't real, honest or personal. Look, had this happened a few years ago, people like John Terry would be taking the knee. Thin...

Re: Rival Watch

I think there are probably a fair few people for who it isn't true that last season did the job in getting the message across. Racists gonna racist and people from black and other ethnic minority groups are on record saying they don't want more gestures of solidarity that quickly evaporate after the...

Re: Rumour- Lewis Gibson

If we add Gibson, Ng & Riquelme, do we call this a good window? I'd still say we're 1 DM light, but certainly in decent shape. I think so, especially when you add Laurent in there as well. 4 good solid signings (hopefully) and filled (or at least tried to fill) glaring holes in the squad (full ...

Re: Rumour - Perry Ng

Maybe the owners saw his experience and insight as valuable but didn't believe he was the right man for day to day, hands on involvement with the squad. The person I got information from has direct contact with a former player so I'd regard them as pretty reliable. You're on my 'not full of bullshi...

Re: Rumour- Lewis Gibson

Seems this one is actually happening supposed to sign early next week. A left footed centre back isn’t easy to find and I think it’s a big risk insisting with Holmes and McIntyre as backups and allows us to adopt a 3 centre back system when we need to. I don’t think we should be considering him as ...

Does it matter if he was. If you choose to believe that Eddie guy off Twitter, the main problem with Bowen was Bowen. He was allegedly actively disliked by many at the club before he was replaced. For those not on Twitter ... any chance you can share what this 'Eddie guy' has claimed and what his s...

Re: BF I follow Barnsley

Yeah. That was approaching legal proceedings. The thought that I'm being stalked and potentially in danger from someone deranged has started to occasionally cross my mind. It's oxf*rd relentless, following me all across the board. I reckon he must have posted about me at least 20 times across this ...

Re: Rival Watch

Think Bristol City will be contenders this season. They have spent a good deal of money over the summer. Bit up and down last season, weren't they? Bit more consistency and could certainly challenge. New manager this season, will be an interesting one to keep an eye on. Agree that consistency is th...

Re: BF I follow Barnsley

One of the most painful post match threads for quite a while Between this and the Ng thread, been a pretty awful day on here It isn't as bad as the Sheff weds (I think) one from last season where OMA was accusing Leon and spizz of being alcoholic women beaters. That was pretty oxf*rd bad. Yeah. Tha...
