Re: Low point of the Dai era

Training ground was a kick in the teeth but it was put to bed so quickly so didn’t feel too low ultimately. I lost all confidence after Shrewsbury although I didn’t watch the game itself so didn’t take much promise like others did. It felt like we just weren’t good enough, had no easy way to bridge ...

Re: Rumour - Semi Ajayi

Realistically you want your first choice centre halves to be 46 game players, hasn’t played even close to that in the past three seasons. Worth having on trial but his injury record does scare me a little bit.

I guess no playoffs gives us that two or so weeks we could do with to plan.

Playoffs has to be the aim.

Re: UNOFISHYLEE CONFIMRED - The 2nd final countdown

Could be a special day if things go our way with that and a near sell out crowd. Not sure there’s much more motivation a footballer could need to give it absolutely everything.

Re: CONFIMRED - The 2nd final countdown

Twitter truly does bring the worst out in people. Pissy when journalists don’t report anything, pissy when they get wrong. That Haung guy may have got a thing or two correct in the past but if you chose to take his tweets as fact then that’s entirely your own call, don’t expect journalists to automa...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h)

We were very lucky to not concede in the opening quarter, but all credit to them as we got back into it. Glad Wifi and Garcia were hooked off as early as they were. Poor games and seemed a bit lazy, contrast to Rushesha and Wareham who gave us the energy we needed (really liked the look of Rushesha)...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackpool (h)

Unfortunately a game where we were physically dominated. Referee didn’t do his job in addressing this which gave Blackpool the licence to exploit that. Felt we really struggled to deal with Ashley Fletcher’s physical presence too. I don’t think it called for the reaction it got though. Arguably the ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (h)

The thing I like about this squad the most is the sheer hidden gems we’ve found. Pereira never been a no 1 before, gets his chance and shines. Mbengue’s progression has been outstanding. Bindon has continued to impress too. Elliott and Savage seem to finally have found their feet at this level after...

Imagine it’s the club looking after his welfare and letting him train to get fit rather than having intent to sign him. Wish him all the best, however his future lies away from Reading.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

From the Port Vale forum: I agree. I wish we had an owner who’d put some money in like Daii Yoonge. I don’t know what Reading fans were moaning about. That squad of theirs is chock full of players who earn much more than ours and they were still paying Andy Carroll 15k a week until about October. Of...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (a)

One of their fans decided to use a homophobic slur to describe one Reading fan, they’re quite keen to tell us that it’s only a minority. Funny that. Given we recently had a 'fan' use a racist slur, I wouldn’t be too quick to tar them all with the same brush, because that shit works both ways. They ...

He’s shown a lot of loyalty to the club despite what’s been happening. I feel like we should at least not forget how much him (and Mark Bowen I suppose) have stood by us in the club’s darkest moment whatever happens next. To a point but Selles is only in a job because our owner doesn’t care less ab...

Re: Did the protest do what it intended?

Got national media attention with a number of high profile people within the game commenting on it. It worked an absolute treat.

Anyone who boo’ed needs to seriously consider whether they actually what the club to survive. I personally could not care less about how the season goes now.

Someone I know who follows Carlisle says they’re making a fair few signings already following their takeover. I hope us not being able to sign anyone isn’t going to bite us badly.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (h)

We’ve got heaps of big games coming up, but also a real chance to pull away from the drop zone. I think it’s too early to say a corner has been turned personally. The same problems still remain. It is at least looking better though, and the players have given themselves a real chance to stay up. I ...
