Re: Next Season's Squad.

I agree on him being a cheaper option, but 9 in 27 (+2) in the Eredivisie is hardly prolific - joint 26th top scorer in the league and 52nd for goals per 90 (min 10 games). 1.8 shots per 90 also suggests a very different style of play to Oliveira, who averages over double that across his career. Pu...

Re: SPECULATION - Martinez?

From Despair To Where? Whatever happens with Martinez, I hope Gomes settles on a definite first choice keeper. Don't want to see us chopin and changing or the season might unravel.

Yep hopefully someone can cement their plaice as our no.1

I think that’s fishful thinking on your part.

Re: Celtic Eye Moore

Lol @ thinking a top flight winners medal and European football is trivial. Or that the English second tier trumps it. Who cares how easy it is to get, it's still a top flight winners medal and a whole lot more high profile than finishing 20th in the Championship. Moore's certainly not going to win...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Worrying we're told there's a self imposed embargo and then the second a Moore rumour turns up it's lifted. Don't get me wrong, he's got to be close to our highest earner and almost certainly getting paid well above his value. He's also one of our most valuable players to sell, but we're so chronic...

Re: Rumour - Ovie Ejaria

Reportedly Reading would be Ovie's preferred destination https://www.readingchronicle.co.uk/sport/17695463.liverpool-midfielder-ovie-ejaria-likely-to-move-to-reading-ahead-of-the-201920-championship-season/ Would be good to get him in here early doors. Suppose that can be said of any player, but I ...

Re: Nations League & Friendlies

But their job is to officiate a game of football...if they can't do it - they shouldn't be in that profession should they? Ya know someone will get badly hurt one day with the "new offside rule". Linesman's very rarely flag now even when someone is clearly miles off because they have the ...

Re: Nations League & Friendlies

FFS give it time. VAR is the way forward , Too many mistakes are made in games by match officials. So what if players celebrate a goal and it’s then scratched off because there’s been a foul. As long as VAR means the right decisions are being made more than pre VAR then it’s worth it. But their job...

Re: Celtic Eye Moore

Pretty sure player has to agree personal terms with the new club. Things don't usually progress far unless all parties are interested. I guess technically we might be able to sell his registration without consulting him, but who is going to buy unless he wants to be there and how are they going to ...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Wallsy Jose confirms the self-imposed transfer embargo will be lifted tomorrow. Clearly something financially has changed and we are free to sign players again.

That’s odd. Not sure what would have changed since he made the comment a few weeks ago.

Re: Nations League & Friendlies

That was dismal especially Stones. England have the threat going forward but dear God that was a defensive shambles. Stones surely gets dropped after that. Couldn’t disagree more to be honest. There’s no threat going forwards, and there hasn’t been for a long long time (how many goals for England i...

Re: The way things are/were done

I haven’t noticed any particular bias due to nationality to be honest. Swift and Gunter seem to get the brunt of the abuse over the last couple of years, maybe with a bit of Kelly thrown in Joey was very decent first year, rubbish (like everyone else pretty much) in his second I’d say Gunts has bee...
