Re: Rival Watch

Had we a stronger side out we would have been Swansea imo. I haven’t been impressed by either them or Watford. Brentford are flying. Their fans are fuming tonight. Apparently it should not have been a free-kick leading up to the Swansea goal. We will face a true test when we play them in a couple of...

Re: Rival Watch

Suppose that’s Brentford’s issue - that’s soft conceding in that position Rotherham 2-0. Proper massive bonus result that. 3 home defeats in a row for Colin if it stays that way Bristol City our biggest threat for top six then  Bloody hell maybe ....and they really are dreadful. Great results ...

Hound Brentford battering Swansea 1-0

Swansea 1 off target shot after 75m

Brentford are on an astonishing run after a really slow start. If we want to finish above then we need to beat them next month. Alongside Norwich they are going to be the team we have to catch.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h)

Yep loads of options on the bench. We would then only have three out through injury one of whom (Araruna) would struggle to make the squad. Guess its a bit horses for courses and depending on form, but what would be first choice? That team plus Yiadom for Holmes, Meite for Ejaria and Moore for McIn...

Re: Rival Watch

Bristol City messageboard is an amusing read. They were dominated and are very unhappy with the performance even though they won. They were totally battered. Let’s hope their luck doesn’t hold. Decent result at Millwall. Keeps Watford within our sights. Need Brentford v Swansea to draw tomorrow nigh...

Re: Rival Watch

Incredible game at Bristol city Huddersfield lose 2-1 but have 27 shots compared to 4 Hit the post 4 times Also 13 corners compared to 0 Almost embarrassed for Brizzle to win that Yeah I was following that. Irritated that they won but I just don’t think they are good enough to mount a challenge.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bournemouth (h)

interesting, I didnt see a lot in Aluko's performance the other day tbh. It was ok. One nice shot, and a few bits of alright stuff Ovie was top class the game before - I didnt think he had too bad a game on Sunday either tbh I thought Aluko played pretty well on Sunday. A good effort on goal. A nic...

Rafael Holmes Morro McIntyre Richards Laurent Rino Olise Swift Ejaria Joao Southwood Yiadom Meite Aluko Baldock Esteves Gibson Semedo Tetek Proper options on the bench and nearly full strength first 11 Might be controversial, but i would put Aluko in instead of Ejaria. I do think Ejaria slows the g...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

Vic’s point about our being one of the cleanest teams is a good one. We are the second cleanest team in the division just behind Bristol City. Should help us in regard suspensions.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

The one passage of play that summed it up for me was when Swift (I think) was breaking away and was attempted to be hacked down from behind, he managed to keep going, ref played advantage, and then another identical tackle from behind brought him down. Yep and both players got rightly booked for it...

Mid Sussex Royal Hasn't Swift missed a few pens in his time? Thinking that odd season when we scored a few rebounds from pens

Probably. Puscas would be my preferred choice but if he’s not on the pitch......

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

A very big +1 to that. Being professional and offering no threat at all is not going to win you any games. Joao is a cut above at this level. Without him we would not be fighting for promotion. He is clearly the best striker we have had in many a year, I’m just explaining why I don’t like him. If w...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

Yep. Swift has to be our set piece specialist. Aluko played pretty well but that freekick was perfect Swift territory. Sone should have been nowhere near it.
Swift or Puscas if he is in the pitch need to take the pens.. Joao has been brilliant but the two he hasn’t scored have cost us dear.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

 Yep a bit odd from Vic. Loads of fouls with many of them cynical. Ledson was a very very lucky boy. I think you are getting a bit soft in your old age Zip. IIRC the medical staff didn't get on the pitch for either side -that's usually a reasonable guide as to whether it has been a pa...
