Re: Squad for 2020/21

As I said in another thread, I'd happily trade Moore for Pele. I think we need CB cover but we definitely need a decent DM to give us shape in midfield. It's the one position I'd go all out to recruit a starter in. I'd be happy with a DM, 3 or 4 loans for depth, particularly in defence and then usin...

Re: Reading Rated?

I guess the big proviso of our last 6 games is that the ones we didn't lose were all against teams in the bottom 8 and the 3 teams we did beat have picked up a combined total of 17 points from their last 6 games, less than a point a game. So we beat the dross, are reasonably competative against OK t...

Shane Long, 25 in 2010/11.

Kermorgant got 19 in 16/17

To be honest, it happens less than you think.

Last season 9 players achieved it throughout the whole Championship, which is the most this Century but more usually, only 3 or 4 players so.

Re: Back from I Follow Luton

On thing I would say about Moore is he is no longer absolutely crucial to how we play. If Moore (or Swift for that matter) leaving meant that we were in with a shout of signing Pele, I'd see that as a fair trade.

Re: Rival Watch

Last couple of seasons they've gone on decent unbeaten runs and hit the playoffs only to follow up with long winless runs which see them drop like a stone. That it keeps happening would suggest Johnson has taken them as far as he can.

Re: Back from I Follow Luton

Good professional performance. All the talk before kick off was of us getting dragged back into the relegation mire. Suddenly, barring a major reversal of form from 2 or 3 teams, we look pretty much safe.

Re: Back from I Follow Luton

Rafael may not 'have had much to do' but, as Bowen pointed out, made a great save when we were 4 (or was it 5?) up. Maintaining that focus/concentration and pulling out a great save like that, despite having very little to do up until that point, is the mark of a good keeper. He also had that time ...

Who was the last Reading player to score a hat trick away from home in the league ? And who was the last Reading player to score a hat trick away from home in the league, in the first half ? Puscas last December at Wigan for the first one. Cant remember the last time a Reading player got a first ha...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a) sponsored by Sean Evers

Sutekh Disappointing Stoke are beating Barnsley though.

If it stays like this, which is looking likely, we'll be 12 ahead of Luton, 11 ahead of Barnsley and effectively 14 ahead of Wigan with 5 to play.

Luton are shit  Pissed off they’re going down. Haven’t been to kenilworth and was looking forward to the away trip. Fcuking corona. You literally go through someone's garden to get to the terrace  https://i.pinimg.com/originals/4b/fe/be/4bfebeaee59bbfe1167b7ac5656d8fa6.jpg And from once y...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Average age of the Liverpool squad is nearly 2 years younger than Manchester City. Liverpool have Miller (34) and Henderson (30) of their key players over 30. City have Walker (30), Aguero (32), David Silva (32), Fernandinho (35), Ottamendi (32), who have all started 20+ games this season. If they s...

Re: Rival Watch

genome I'd be pretty livid at the EFL if I were the Wigan fan. EFL rush through your takeover, only for the club to go into admin within 4 weeks, then they punish you with a points deduction.

Corrected for you.

Re: Rival Watch

Wasn't it Dirty Leeds who went into administration 5 minutes before the end of the season with relegation all but confirmed, in a vain attempt to dodge any real sanction?

Re: The next 5 games - a key point in our season

The time has come to drop Moore. He really is in poor form at the moment. Give Tom McIntyre a chance. Bring in Pele and rest Olise. God knows what what we do upfront. None of Puscas, Baldock or Meite look like scoring. Pele did himself no favours by letting his fitness drop significantly through lo...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

He didn't cut in the Championship on loan, went to League One and didn't cut it and has then gone on loan to League Two. Absolutely avoid, he's 23 so it's really unlikely that he's going to be Championship standard. Aren't academy loanees meant to work their way up the leagues as they get older, no...
