Re: 4th round who do you want

strange it was grant brebner that got the 2nd goal. remember trying drag caskey over the hoarding though and that our away form was atrocious at the time. Walsall were relative world beaters as well - that's how bad we were back in the day!

Re: 4th round who do you want

Caskey winner at their place, midweek, in front of our fans. i'm using fans plural, as it was close...good times though. i'm guessing 1997 or 1998?

Re: Charlton away

bobby1413 Anyone know if The Antigallican does food?

If not, anywhere quick to get food there, like a fry up or something?

Try the valley cafe. Owned by jem karacan's family I believe.

Re: Charlton away

What would be the best way to drive to this? Simple southbound M25 job, off before Dartford on the A2? Not wanting to sound like some kind of South London weirdo, but i have to say I've driven to Charlton and back a lot and have never found any quicker route other than m25 to a2. You could go throu...

Re: Charlton away

thinking of taking my 74 year old dad. Anyone know if there's parking relatively nearby as he can't walk too far? There is no parking at the ground for non permit holders and all the roads around the ground are residents only. The nearest place to park that I have found is on an industrial estate a...

Re: BFTG - Middlesbrough

OK I was there and as my first game since Everton away (!) i was thinking I might be able to offer some views that were a little less....blighted than some, maybe. We created some chances, but didn't take them. Borough broke well and we defended poorly for their goals from open play. 2 down with 10 ...

along similar lines to what's been posted, any reserve results have to be kept in an even greater sense of perspective, following our promotion to the Prem. Reason - many clubs, such as arsenal, categorically have a policy of not playing any squad players in their reserve teams, unless they are comi...

glad someone mentioned that stockport county away trip from 93/94. i remember being blown away by our away support that evening - both the number and non stop vocals! great memories, i'll NEVER forget. i've still got my match ticket, complete with incorrect date! (think it was re-arranged?) unfortun...

good post. our lack of FA Cup form really has been strange in my Reading football life-time. the scary thing is i've been to quite a few of those games. i remember the first game at grimsby - proper spiteful home following. slightly dodgy getting back to the car. I'd be interested to know if any of ...
