Forbury Lion ...he'd overstretched on his mortgage ...

That's an incredible coincidence - The Secret Footballer had the same problem. And the same solution. And the same outcome.
Probably around the same time too.

BBC Berks Reading FC Podcast interviews

Listened to the Dave Kitson interview yesterday and it was just as interesting as the Steve Coppell podcast. Having listened to it, If I ever spot Kitson out and about I will probably leave him alone knowing how uncomfortable it makes him feel when strangers approach him, He did say though that when...

Re: Quick question, or not

That reminds me, The Dave Kitson episode of the BBC Berks podcast is up..... He doesn't come to many games at his old clubs because he's a Spurs fan and he supports them, so that's where he goes to watch football, which as a football supporter makes sense to me, I would still support Reading even if...

Re: This is Poor

There's been improvement under Gomes reign but he is not the messiah. We will finish higher than last season but tactically he is not very good and his substitutions are sometimes bizarre. On a positive note, he does seem to recognise his mistakes and has shown he can be flexible where necessary wi...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

On another thread it was suggested that one was started on the Royal Women's Team To be fair, they should have their own sub-forum (I don't think it would be helpful for them to have their own site and hobnobs are a gender neutral biscuit anyway) Is it though? It's quite a masculine biscuit. Are yo...

Re: Unauthorised data gathering / Texting during games

Can't see anything there which would stop you texting or posting to social media as long as it doesn't contain photos, video or audio taken in the ground. There's also this, but it doesn't apply to mobile phones. 19 Save as set out in paragraph 16 above, no person (other than a person who holds an ...

Re: Championship free agents... who would you have?

Are there any non-free agents that might be available on the cheap who have just been frozen out/training with the U21's? - the same situation as Gunter & McLeary? Not after transfer window has closed ... I'm sure if a discussion takes place, the current club might give them a free transfer and...

Continuing on the theme of stupid racist logic...... You have to stop the Irish coming over here and having kids, like Brian Dermot's parents then you have more opportunists for the English players and managers like Brian Dermot

Re: Ex Players

Listened to the Steve Coppell 106 interview on the BBC Berks podcast, Now I may be paraphrasing (feel free to correct me), But Adie Williams bought up how few of that team went on to better things (including the manager), Coppell said he thought Doyle and Kitson didn't fulfill their potential, Shane...

Phil Parkinson is now a free agent, mad dog Allen is now a free agent. Its time to forget the shiny shoes and greasy hair mercenaries, time to put a bit of passion back into our club, also time to put the club back into English ownership. please Sir John, please buy back our heritage our identity, ...

Re: Podcast after the Sheffield Wednesday game?

Listened to the Steve Coppell 106 interview yesterday, Well worth a listen.

I always wondered how he picked his strikers from Kitson, Doyle and Lita..... turns out one of them was always injured except for one game where he had to make a choice.

Re: Phil Parkinson is waiting.

Facts, back in 106 our record breaking season we had an English manager, English Chairman and a majority English/ British squad. The last time we were promoted in 2011-2012 we had an English manager, English Chairman and a majority English /British squad. How many times were we relegated under Engl...
