Re: MATCHWATCH : Coventry City (h)

HNA? in the 2000's Don't you think we could use the same match report for the last three Reading v Coventry games at the madhouse?
We take the lead without playing well, Coventry look a very poor side, come out in the second half like a team transformed, 2-1 the final result.

Already under contract to the Yonge’s Chinese club so not sure what the references to buy out clauses aren’t all about. +1 I imagine the transfer fee and clauses may be more a case of where the owner wants the money to go for tax and financial fair play reasons, in fact if the another club the owne...

Re: Should Reading change our club crest...

All the uproar across Everton & Port Vale about changing there club crests has got me thinking. Everton said their old crest was badly represented on TV, tablets and in computer games. It was also difficult to replicate, which led to a change. The Everton fans are not fans of this of course, an...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

I reckon much easier back then, European Cup was for champions of each league only and the draw I believe was like the FA Cup now; ie no seeding and home/away legs; so if you messed up against a weak side you had another leg to rectify it. In their other final, Forest played FC Malmo - could never ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

How long is a long time? Stoke, Southampton and Bournemouth all had or are having fair periods of top flight football but don't think anyone would consider them big clubs. West Ham also comes to mind. Will Wolves ever be a big club for example? Reckon they are one manager change away from dropping ...

Car Park - First games back

Anyone heard anything about the car park for these first games back? I usually catch a footy bus to the ground, but being in a tin box on wheels with other people is probably a risk I wouldn't want to take, but if there is car park capacity available at a price, I imagine those who are fortunate to ...

Re: Back to the Mad Stad

They should not award points for those who attend these first games back as that will only make the gap between those rich in points and those poor in points bigger.

I speak as someone with 4,110 points.

Re: Time to drop Rafael?

Isn’t it funny how our memories are only as good as the last few games? 7 points clear at the top, best defensive record in the country, some great saves and we were discussing how much a decent keeper adds to our success. A few games of horrific defending, errors pretty much all across the back 5 ...

Buy yourself one of these T shirts, cut the label out and use that? (Might be too small) - Maybe cut the whole square label out and have it sewn on as a square? https://fanstore.readingfc.co.uk/MOONTEE or maybe a Tie found under the gifts section? https://fanstore.readingfc.co.uk/RFCTIE Facemask? ht...

Re: Sjm country pad for sale

I remember a documentary about Sir John Madejski and he took the viewer on a guided tour of this place, I think it was still under construction/not yet ready at the time. Things I recall about it, facts that may be a bit twisted due to time: He was hands on with the specs and made sure the shower ca...

Re: Pauno at STAR Fans Forum 11 November

Ever since this was announced we have lost both games, coincidence? I think not! Pauno upsetting all the traditions - back in the day of Burns and Pardew the manager typically pulled out a good result or two before the Fans Forum .... to the point we considered having the FF every fortnight! He's d...

Re: How many Managers have you been through ?

Eddie took control of the team for one day while Paunovic was in isolation. I would put that down as somewhere between a genuine caretaker and that time McDermott picked the team against Man United (with Cisse at centre back). Statistically that makes him our most successful manager then - P1, W1, ...
