Re: Team photo

JedMaxwell It'd certainly be different. Can just imagine them positioning the likes of Harvey Knibbs so he covers up the 'call this number for a BJ' graffiti.
What's the number? - asking for a friend.

Re: Team photo

Possible spin off thread, but Panini have signed a deal with the EFL so expect to see our players appearing as Panini stickers.

Re: Team photo

Pick a set of random fans, dress them up in the new kit and take that as your team photo. Then just photoshop the player faces onto them, It'll be quite funny to see the likes of Lewis Wing appear to have the body of an overweight black female, for example.

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

It’s kinda strange there has been nothing official from the club about the new investment. Despite them announcing it on LinkedIn about a week or so ago. I would have thought there would have been some sort of statement Because it is subject to FL approval ? Why do I have to approve it, it's bad en...

Re: Season Tickets 25/26

They should sell season tickets like a kickstarter campaign.... when we get to 10,000 everyone gets a free beer, get to 20,000 and it's free beer all year. The thing where they pick people to sit in the directors box, that's a great idea that costs nothing but how about a seat on the bench? Maybe ju...

Re: Stadium Matchday Upgrade

Would actually like the club to show some respect and read out the team and subs for the opponents rather than just ignore them like they're not really there. Yeah, pisses me off as well. They do it, but about 20 minutes before the game when no one is there It's actually informative for the home fa...

Maybe a digital version? - Read on your phone/tablet.
If you want to print it yourself you can.

Will remove a big chunk of the costs in terms of printing and selling.

Re: Stadium Matchday Upgrade

Snowflake Royal PA system is fine isn’t it? I've never had a problem understanding it, and I wouldn’t say I have great hearing.
I imagine the experience is not uniform across all stands and indeed all areas of a stand.
In the lower west near the away end the PA system is loud (too loud) but not clear.

Re: Are Reading fans unfairly critical of black players?

The one thing to remember about hiring is, if you have a team performing well you want someone who is going to fit in. Too many managers (in the workplace, not specificaily football) confuse fitting in with being the same. As a Reading fan, I support all our players and I don't criticise them more o...

Re: Unexpected delirium

former Oxford captain and manager Ron Atkinson Mr Maxwell obviously believes that if you add 6,000 United fans to 6,000 Reading fans you'll get 12,000 supporters for the new club. You won't.

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

SJM is a true legend. Got photo of him with my lad when he was young - he was thrilled to meet Sir John, and still treasures the picture. Seeing him coming out to greet the away followings all over the country was always a great moment. Never approached him myself as I wouldn't want to impinge upon...

JedMaxwell Taylor Swift was born in West Reading, PA.

Are we sensing a Sheeran / Elton / Robbie Wiiliams opportunity here? Does West Reading PA have a Battle Hospital?
Not anymore, they knocked it down and turned it into a Target because nobody knew what a Tesco was.

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

Met Sir John, back in the day, up the Costa Cafe in Reading Station. Came across as quite a character. Asked him where he was off to and he replied "Up to Liverpool. Without casting aspersions, say no more". I've seen him about but never approached him as I'm awkward in those situations a...

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

Sir John Madejski's been a bit quiet though this takeover.... Is he okay? Not seen him driving his Bentley about recently. Appreciate the new owners are rightly hogging the media and communicating with the fans, but I would have thought Sir John would pop up and say how pleased he was that the club...

Dai Yongge has done wonders for highlighting the ownership problem football has and future clubs may be saved as a result of lessons learn't and changes made as a result.

ILoveMoonPig Was it him that got the club badge on a formula 1 car? That was pretty cool.
No, that was the Russian Marussia team and it was under the stewardship of Anton Zingaravich, arguably a worse owner than Dai Yongge but perhaps better advised with regards to transfers etc.

Re: OFFISHAL CONFRIMATION of the CONFIMRED

I'm not getting carried away but anything less than 138pts next season should be seen as a failure. Very conservative - I think we should aim for more than that good point. is there an opposite process to points deductions where the authorities can just award us some extra points? 138 points will b...
