Re: BFI Follow Huddersfield

It just shows how awful the match as last night when this thread has spent more time discussing the merits of the commentators than the match. Personally I find Tim's commentary odd, funny and quite enjoyable. Regarding the match my main comment is that I do hope that by some miracle we can keep Pel...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

Urm.. Does Barrow want to come back? He just posted a photo of himself playing for Reading with the caption "cant wait". I mean, provided he isnt one of our ridiculous contracts we should be happy to have him back right? His pace alone... It would all depend on the reason we let Barrow go...

Re: Rival Watch

Well Hull looked shit, but somehow got a win, getting quite tight down the bottom now. Indeed - there are only 10 points between the bottom 11 sides and most of the bottom sides seem to be improving their form. Almost anyone in the bottom 11 could go down so we need a couple of wins soon to put any...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

It was suggested earlier in the week that Azeez had also gone- seen him a few times and not rated him at all. From what I have seen in U23 games I don't think Medford-Smith or Burley are good enough for Championship level - although they could do a job at perhaps L2 level and some players develop l...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Surprised at Burley, thought he did ok when he came on in the cup. Burley did do ok in the cup but looked a bit shaky in some U23 games I saw. Thought Odimayo was definitely the better of the two in the U23 games I have seen. Probably in a normal year several would have been given a 12 month extens...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

To confirm, the EP says U23 players Liam Driscoll, Lexus Beeden, Andre Burley, Marcel Elva-Fountaine, Ramarni Medford-Smith, Akinwale Odimayo, Werick Caetano, Ethan Coleman, Tyler Frost, Roberto Nditi, Ben House and Adam Liddle have all been let go. U18s duo Emmanuel Obamakinwa and Pedro Neves have...

Re: Squad for 2020/21

NewCorkSeth Will Thierry Nevers be ready to play a few games on our left flank next season? Calling Academy watchers to the thread.

Seen him several times and he looks very promising. Think he will get a chance next season and he is still only just 18 so plenty of potential. Scores some good goals too.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Wow - talk about an Academy clear out but we have gone from 31 contracted Academy players at the end of the season to just 18 now and that includes 4 keepers! We can barely put out an U23 side now unless we bring in more U18's to the U23 squad. Having said that I am not sure that most of the 13 we h...

Re: Swift to... Southampton

Fair price I reckon - plays well one game in 5 and has hamstring issues That's simply not an accurate description of Swift this season. He's been consistently good and even since the restart he's just been a bit disappointing, and that's 3 games. It is a fair price as there is no money in the game ...

Re: Swift to... Southampton

I do hope 3.5M is just a starting offer as that would be far too little IMO. If RFC accept such a derisory bid then we really are in financial trouble. Even in this market 5-7M should be the minimum we should consider and if there is enough interest from several buyers then this could push the price...

Re: Swift to... Southampton

The more I think about it this could be a good move for all concerned. I think Swift could do very well at Leeds and we cannot keep playing Swift, Ejaria and Olise in the same team. If we could instead bring in a Lewis Baker type player and buy Ejaria our squad would be more balanced.

Re: Rumour - Duncan Watmore

Can't say I'm enthused by another nearly man blighted by injuries looking to prove he isn't a busted flush. Yes it is hard to see this as a good move as due to injuries he has barely played at League 1 level the last couple of years. Even retaining the now fit McCleary for another season would be a...

Re: Swift to... Southampton

If/when Leeds get promoted this season, Swifty is allegedly top of their wants list. If true let’s hope the club can get a mountain of cash up front although given the current circumstances I don’t think anyone knows yet what would be good money. Therefore if he does go let’s hope it’s late in the ...

Re: Rival Watch

In all honesty, we will need one win to be safe, that would then mean the bottom four would need to win 4 or 5 of their remaining seven games which ain't gonna happen especially if you factor in games against each other at the bottom. We were in a far greater pickle this time last season and escape...

Re: Reading players out of contract in summer 2020

I am a great follower of the Academy and love it when we bring young players through and give them a chance. In the case of Loader he clearly thinks he is far better than he has shown us so far and it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth that he has not even tried to make it here at the club that ha...
