Re: January Transfer Window

I always naturally get nervous when I hear rumours about big signings from overseas. We currently have plenty of talent in CM. I guess if we don't make Pele permanent and don't extend Adam's contract, there are roles for them. But if you look at building a squad for promotion, you'd see Swift and Ej...

Agreed on that. Amazed he didn't go in the summer My brother supports Hull and cannot believe his luck! There aren't even any rumours surrounding him really. Reckons they will get about £20m if he leaves in the summer. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/10754858/leeds-transfer-jarrod-bowen-hul...

Hendo Andy King joins Huddersfield on loan from Leicester.

Handy signing for them that is.

Re: Rival Watch

Wouldn't it be 10 seasons? Or am I completely lost - it sounds mental whatever it is. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51129422 "There is no maximum to the number of years outside the Premier League. For example, if we achieve promotion in 15 years, those first 15 years are free and then t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (a) sponsored by Eamon Dunphy

I'd go same as last time but with Puscas up front. He's got more to his game than simply being a poacher. If, after a couple of games, we find it doesn't quite work with Joao then maybe we go back to 352 with Puscas and Baldock. But for now, 451 has been very effective and I don't think we should di...

Re: BFTG - Forest

Tbf, missing marginal calls in crowded penalty areas happen. It was the RAF's inconsistency with yellow cards, for fouls he actually saw, which was more baffling.

Re: Rumour - Vito Mannone

Mannone probably had a generous contract, but he's not in the same league as Aluko in terms of how bad a signing. He made some big contributions in 16/17, and that's before we consider Aluko's obscene fee.

Re: Rumour - Glenn Murray

WoodleyRoyal agreed, a loan till end of the season or it a no thanks

No thanks it is then. Not much use to Brighton as he remains on their books. No use for him as it doesn't provide any certainty or security. 6 month loan is good for us but not other parties.

Re: BFTG - Forest

Looking at the replay, Puscas' movement forced the OG. Defender had to go for it or it was a tap in. Still should have done better and sent it out for a corner, but there is no mistake without Puscas lurking. Little did he know about Puscas's record of blazing tap ins over the bar.  :lol...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

I wonder if Eddie Howe will be next to go. It does look as though his players are without direction at the moment after 2 stuffings to nil at lowly Brighton and even more lowly West Ham. Sack the manager? Watford have done it and improved. Everton have done it and improved West Ham have done it and...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

With the current owners and Howe at the helm, we should only be looking up now. We've dodged a bullet for the past 5 years or so; we were largely only keeping our head above water aside from one freak season. But I think we've come out the other end. Since I've been supporting the club (c.2000), I'v...

Re: Rumour - Glenn Murray

Depends what other options there are. I'm struggling to think who may fit the bill. Given Puscas is still adapting, I doubt a young promising player is what we're looking for. Experience with a decent track record to fill in Joao's role for the second half of the season is what we need. Anybody els...

Re: Rumour - Glenn Murray

He's after 18 months apparently. Dilemma. I've no doubt he could still do a good job at this level next season. But no doubt he'd be one of our highest earners, and when Joao is fit again we'd have too many strikers when we typically play 1 up front. Is the value he'd add this season worth all thes...

Re: Rival Watch

Can certainly see Brentford making top two I honestly aren’t sure Leeds are all that. Depends if they can do some good business this month Sheff weds an odd team. Thrash forest and beat Leeds but have some shockers as well Bielsa runs his small squads into the ground. Happening again? Maybe we can ...

Re: 2019/20 Injury Watch

Pace is obviously valuable, but what the system really needs to a striker who can hold the ball up, link up play intelligently and physically compete with centre backs. Murray can do all this and is an excellent finisher to boot. His experience and nous will make up for a lack of pace. He would be a...
