Re: MATCHWATCH : Bradford City (h)

6 defeats and one win (at Northampton) in their last 7 on the road, welcome to the home of charity fc bantams Arguably the only time we've been Charity FC recently is losing to Orient, feeling confident about this game for some stupid reason. Drawing with rock bottom Port Vale and losing to no wins...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

Certainly wasn’t a 4-1 game, but Arsenal’s finishing was impressive. Their entire squad were teenagers too. Shows the gulf between our academy and the top sides at the moment. Was impressed by Duah (despite the own goal). Wingers were direct. Ehibhatiomhan was the best of our first teamers; unlucky...

Re: Managerial philosophy - is Richardson ultimately doomed?

Unlike Richardson and Reading, Southgate beat the teams his team should be beating. and lost to the first good team he came up against. And no, the worst German side in decades were not a good side. Is Richardson doomed? Unless he comes up with a better and more sustainable game plan than he has in ...

Re: Bolton fall out

We also waste time-word must have got round amongst referees as last night once again we had a big chunk of added time which ultimately led to dropping 2 points Old Man Shouts At Cloud nonsense . With the number of subs and the extended spell dealing with a particular injury, nine minutes was about...

Re: Bolton fall out

Oh, and it’s massively wrong. Have people been following a different club these last few years? No. Football is a spectator sport about tribalism and passion, not logic or reason. And the media circus has turned it into instant gratification or rage. They're just incapable of engaging reason. Just ...

Re: Bolton fall out

That would be a ludicrous edict and is never going to happen Why is it ludicrous, in what world should someone’s boot ever be near someone’s face? When that face belongs to someone lying on the ground who has fallen after a close tussle with an opponent. I haven't seen it on TV, but judged by the r...

The game should go ahead. Reading don't use the pitch anyway, so it won't have an impact on us.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h)

Will Keane was running around in circles, barely ever showing for the ball, and never getting near any defenders.

Yet Kelvin, playing out of position, is the one getting heavy criticism whilst Keane basically gets a shrug of the shoulders for his poor performance.

Re: Bolton fall out

We're all happy with the points. What we aren't happy with is 40 shots and over 70 crosses faced in two HOME games. It is just not sustainable, as Stam also found out when Al Habsi left and Kermorgant got injured, that your only hope is a player continues the form of his life to get you out of troub...

MR. CYNICAL Just a side note, as the park and ride at Mearoak was full of caravans I decided to use the Holiday Inn.
Not sure if they saw me coming but they've upped the price to £13!

The caravans had gone by the time our bus came back. Guess the travellers didn't fancy it.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h)

MR. CYNICAL Just looking at the stats, we only had 32% possession, 6 shots and only 5 touches in the opposition box. Ffs, we are in league one and were at home, how far we have fallen. No wonder the gates are down.

44 crosses into our box to add to the 35 on Saturday.
