Re: Squad for 2025-2026

I wonder what's taking the likes of Abrefa, Dorsett and Ehibhatiomhan longer than Pereira. You won't get a better offer than Reading lads. My guess is that they're probably on holiday or just taking some time off, and their new contract would start in July anyway so there's no rush to sign just yet...

Re: Team photo

I am sure there was a team photo last season, and there must be one this time as well. I know Jason Dawson is the photographer and has been for some years. Looking at his Instagram page he also does the royal family quote a bit, as there's some photos of King Sausagefingers interacting awkwardly wi...

Re: Rumour: Jonathan Tomkinson

We could really do with a Morrison style signing at CB, but I guess they could as easy turn out to be a Dann. I think we'll primarily focus on youth, but an experienced CB to go with the likes of Yiadom and Wing would really be beneficial. This guy sounds readier than our academy options, but not m...

Indeed they did. My dad has that tin in his home office, full of absolute shit he doesn't need.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

If there really is a Huntley and Palmers connection to the shirt, I think there's an opportunity to do a special edition biscuit tie-in. I'd buy some.

Re: Ex Royals

I went to Marlow the other week to just fanny about for the day with my wife, and I was convinced I saw Nicky Shorey. So much so that we followed this guy quite a long way down the river to try and get a good look. It was not Nicky Shorey, it was a random man, is what I told the police officer.

Yes, Laura Ashley!

It looks like the kind of print that would be on your granny's sofa cushions.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

I don't mind the paisley/floral kind of design, especially if it's based on some Huntley & Palmers tins. However, I think that should be left for away kits and we should keep the home shirts with solid stripes and not too much extraneous guff. I'd also love it if they could keep the home shirt o...

Re: Pre Season games 2025/6

My fondest memory of Gillingham is chanting 'Pogo, if you're 1-0 up!' and the stewards looking a bit worried that the temporary stand might collapse.

Re: Stadium Matchday Upgrade

We could raise, say £35k, and give it to DJ Megaparty with the strict instructions to never come near the club again and stick to doing kids' parties. That would improve my matchday experience.

Re: Ex Royals

Tennai Watson has entered the fray, from the Addicks bench. Also nice to see Jobi McAnuff and Parky on the pundits team. Better than Russell Martin yesterday, the smug twat. I am not sure what's happened with T Mac. I feel badly for him because he was so likeable and you could never question his att...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

He could be one to watch next season. Perhaps will be introduced into the first team via the LDV trophy and be a solid u-23 option. I was very impressed the few times I saw him this past season.

Re: Ex Royals

Emi Martinez looks to be leaving Aston Villa after he was pictured in tears after their final home game. Clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia interested. Would be a shame if he went to Saudi as he has many years at the top left in him. Of course the lure of the Saudi coin is hard to turn down. For all ...

Re: Charlie Savage to Wrexham

I wouldn't like him to go, especially to Wrexham, but the reality is that a decent offer plus the player expressing a desire to leave, equals losing that player. However I am sure his dad will counsel him wisely. Next season he will be one of the first names on the team sheet and we could have a ver...

Re: CONFIMRED… ish

You'd expect some kind of update from the club/EFL today. As 5pm has passed, perhaps the club are waiting until 6 to do a full reveal with an interview, quotes, pictures, etc. so the EFL will wait on that before responding. I don't know, just theorising. The statement before the Barnsley game felt p...

Re: Ex Players

Know a guy who was in a Championship Academy. His experience was it was jam packed full of people with mind blowing talent and skills, but they generally weren’t the ones who made it. It was the solidly good dedicated steady eddies who kept things simple and just repeated and recycled the coached p...
