Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h)

Only 2 from the Academy in the squad today. Dorsett and Steven’s. When was the last time we had so few in a match day squad? When was the last time we only had 1 in the starting lineup

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h)

Really really strong bench. We have some real options to change things up if they needed.

Spaculation - Azeez

Wonder if any prem clubs will start sniffing around him. He’s had a fabulous season so far. Surely we have a sell on?

Re: What records do Reading FC hold

Don’t we hold the record for the latest goal ever scored. Gilkes a penalty at like 10:30 at night or something like that

Re: US Political situation - Any impact on Reading FC?

BTW I have decided to do my own personal one-off protest by staying away tomorrow. It has nothing to do with my missus moaning about the chip on my windscreen and her fear that I will get killed when the screen caves in on the M3. Anyway I will watch by streaming and the club already has my ...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

rabidbee Of course, this is only looking at the revenue side, right? Higher crowds means more costs for staffing and policing, and presumably other costs too, so that's a gross not a net figure, right?

yep agreed, bigger crowds = higher costs for sure.

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

Attendances can't bridge £1m a month. And extra 5k a game will include kids, plus you need to deduct VAT. Let's estimate £15 a ticket, that's £75k a game. 23 games plus perhaps an FA Cup draw and that's £1.8m, allegedly what they're putting in every 2 months. Perhaps extra food, merchandise etc., c...

Re: New Owners - Redwood Watch

They mention they were expecting bigger attendances. I think they didn’t realise just how battered and bruised the fan base was after all the shit we’ve had to deal with. Compound that with shooting his mouth off - over promising and underdelivering in the transfer market - that didn’t help. If we h...

One more in.

I’m told that one more max, a loan. and then we’ll only react if we get an injury on Saturday or if someone was to suddenly leave. Could happen tomorrow/the next couple of days. No idea who or what position, yet. This would push us over the max number of loans permitted in a match day squad of 5. Bu...

EFL squad rules

Might need some help with date of births but the squad rules state we can only have 22 registered outfield players over the age of 24 - players born before 1st January 2004 As I say I’m not sure of date of births but from my reckoning we have 24 players now over 24. MoM going back but I think he’s c...

Re: Ex Royals (No not prince Andrew)

Sorry, I meant in terms of the period between Premier League relegation to us getting relegated from the Championship (ie. post Madejski), as opposed to any specific players from the relegated side. Wages were consistently too high for a prolonged period (and probably still are tbh) and were the bi...
