Re: Richardson to Blackburn

From the Chronicle: Leam Richardson said: "You can never stop speculation. I was on the doorstep for many years up there, a few promotions and sold a lot of players, etc. "So I can understand the speculation, but my full focus is on the job at hand. "I've got a massive game on Saturd...

Re: Away fans waiting after a match

Many thanks. Strange question, days have gone when away fans are held behind after a game. Nowadays it's the home fans that are inconvenienced as they shut the gates between the East and South stands so we have to walk all around the stadium to access Hurst Way. Seems to me just a question. If some...

Re: Richardson to Blackburn

Sutekh Agree he ain’t going anywhere, doesn’t yet even feature in the obvious names being bandied by betting sites:

Nigel Pearson 14/1
Gary O'Neil 16/1
Chris Wilder 20/1
Michael Appleton 25/1
Paul Warne 30/1

14/1 for the favourite? Shows they haven’t a clue either

Re: Richardson to Blackburn

No loyalty in football so it wouldn't surprise me if he goes. Having said that i think this is just paper talk so i doubt it would happen. But we are in a much better position to bring in a decent replacement than when noel was sacked.

Re: Richardson to Blackburn

Snowflake Royal I don't think you get far in football burning bridges and walking out after about 3 months, so I can't really see it.

Perhaps he can take Brogue with him if he does go. The £400k would be welcome.

£730k is what we've offered. Half up front, with a 15% sell on, and some add on's are part of the deal. it's been accepted pending them being able to get someone else in. Player wants to come.

WestYorksRoyal If this one comes off, you have to say it's been an excellent window. Dare I say spectacular...

Pepe the Horseman Don't think it's Brogue, but he's also confirmed it fwiw.

You should absolutely follow him. He joined twitter the day after I outed Huang Kad…

That's a coincidence! I did see you bigging him up the other day, but assumed you were just being nice.

Re: The window closes at 7pm on Monday 2nd February

Confirmed by the ITK account on Twitter that we're in talks with him. That account is madly reliable. Don't know if it's another of Brogue's. But did say not over the line. Re: How best to approach the rest of the season

We’ve played 10 of the current top 12 away from home - just Stevenage and Mansfield we have to go to. We are quite strong at home played 15 won 7 drawn 5 lost 3. With an average points per game of 1.73. If we can pick up our away form and continue our ok ish home form I wouldn’t say the season is ov...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (h)

The better sides seem to have a striker who drops to receive the ball and link with either a midfielder or a wide player. Also their midfielders pass and move forward between themselves. Two criticisms I would make of Reading teams is that midfielders for many seasons pass and stand still (remember...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (h)

Wing was fine. He turned back a fair bit yesterday because there wasn't a forward pass on. He's super aware and turns out of danger really well. But he can only pass where there's an option, and Exeter were squeezing the forward space really well, and often had two close to him. We're generally get...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (h)

our game management is shocking. i never feel we are in control of games even when leading comfortably, always feel there is a goal there for the opposition . we also look really disjointed. for me it all stems from CM. We never control the midfield, never seem to have time or space. There is no lin...
