Re: Record Watch 22/23

I've been keeping an eye on this thread. I thought it was poetic justice that it fell on Reading to be the team that prevents their points tally record from being beaten. I hope we (Blackburn) can do you guys a favor when we play them next week and we do ourselves a favor by beating our rivals Burnl...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (a)

3 away wins but basically the same thing. Just realised I said no away wins all season when I was meant to say all year lol. Thought it was good match. Reading grew in confidence when Lumley was keeping his team in it at one down which lead to the goal (cracking goal at that). I’d say Reading have ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (a)

I am primarily a Blackburn fan (I do have a major soft spot for Reading so I come on here to keep up with the goings on). Let me tell you, this is the perfect game for Rovers to lose. Against a team that is out of form Former manager A striker that always scores against us (Lucas Joau) Against a te...

Re: What team is most similar to Reading FC

Hendo When have we been a stable premier league team?

I take it you agree with the rest of it then?

Blackburn Maybe? Both once stable premier league teams. Both have owners with a disconnect to the club and fan base? Both Play in blue and white too.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burnley (a)

Looking forward to this one, I live a very short train ride away in Accrington (and despise Burnley) so I’ll be well up for this game. A goal from Hoilett will really get the Burnley fans blood boiling.

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h)

IMO, I thought NGW was one of the better players on the day. His defending wasn’t great but he was a real threat at beating a defender to get into the box. Shame it never equated to a goal though. +1, thought he was one of the brighter sparks, decent footwork and a couple of nice crosses too He’s n...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h)

Yeah, wouldn't say Joao was a "massive threat", but probably our biggest in the game and he certainly didn't perform poorly by any means. I’m not sure anyone did, did they? I didn't think NGW looked particularly fantastic personally speaking. IMO, I thought NGW was one of the better playe...

Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h)

Little bit off topic but I thought it was cool of the West Brom keeper to throw the bottles of water to the crowd before the start of the 2nd half.

Re: Worst and best rival fans you have seen?

The most trouble I've had from any set of fans was Manchester United. Throwing traffic cones and whatever else they could get their hands on at a bus of people of all ages.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

All kits looks smart. The sleeves on the home shirt have definitely grown on me. Shame about the Macron sizing though. XXL for me! That’s a first and it’s still not that roomy. Perhaps we should start calling you 'D Cup' Haha yeah that would be fitting. I do like my shirts to be baggy though...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield United (a)

Burnley is greater Manchester, not Yorkshire Lancashire I think. Yeah, it’s Lancs As a Blackburn fan primarily, this made me laugh. We call Burnley fans Dingles as they are very close to Yorkshire and their accent starts to get a bit more Yorkshire. We say they are a small town in Yorkshire which w...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

paultheroyal Not one comment about atmosphere, similar with Blackburn - that tells me its improving massively.

As a Rovers fan I can confirm that the atmosphere was amazing. Loved the little tribute to Jack Walker before the game. Lots of respect to Reading FC and it’s fans for that!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

Oh and club 1871 - you were outstanding. Rest of the ground joined in. What an initiative. Are you high? They were outsung by Blackburn and yet again caused trouble when we scored. I'm writing a letter to the club today to put this farce to an end. Can someone on this board just delete this a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h)

Blackburn have a few injuries recently. Bit of a defender crisis with Wharton injured for a few weeks, Ayala being injury prone in general and Carter still out. Still haven’t really replaced Nyambe and Lenihan yet either.

In some situations I’d rather play against 11 men than 10. I think at 1-1 after just pegging them back was one of them.

Brogue The only downside from today is that bbc berks haven’t sacked Rita. Every single fcuking text she reads out she falls over her words. My 10 year old daughter is better at reading aloud than her.

She’s better at reading Reading messages?
