Re: Squad for 2020/21

Thought Puscas looked quite sharp tbh. Couple of tough chances. Rounded the keeper but narrow angle with defender covering, should have been a corner. Got in behind again for another narrow angle but blasted wide. My only complaint with him is that he plays on his heels too much and watches games p...

Re: The Danny Loader conundrum

For me he looks like an outstanding Futsal player who just needs a bit more grit and awareness to succeed on a pitch with more players. I hope this will come with age and experience, certainly this season will have helped him no end.

Re: Financial Fair Play

I'm hearing the Oliveira deal is around £3.5 - 4m which is pretty much all our budget next year. This is all but done as long as we stay up and I also hear that Baker looks very likely to come back on loan next year. Martinez has been told he must go back to Arsenal for the start of the season. I g...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Richly amused seeing fellow Reading fans take the piss out the forest fans and wind them up, to the point they’ve dug out a “club song” that was released 4 years ago by an owner that no longer has much say in the football club and resorted to saying “you’re going down” as if that’s supposed to offe...

Just saw the sky highlights in the EFL show, were we playing? you wouldn`t thought so. didn`t show a single chance we had but showed all of QPRs The highlights I saw lasted 2 minutes 45 and showed Swift’s effort, Loader’s shot at the end and from memory a couple of other efforts. It was pretty bala...

Re: BFTG Leeds

Thoughts... Swift - looked lazy, very little tracking back, not at all at the races! Gunter - should have given away a Pen, lino did us a favor, was torn apart by their kid in the second half. Meite - looked unfit, which he is due to the injury, still surprised Loader wasn't the one withdrawn (for a...

Re: Relegation Watch

I believe that makes it 2/6 points required to guarantee safety. I've quite enjoyed counting this down from twentysomething over the last 7/8 games. At least it's been an interesting end to the season. In actuality it's more like 1 point due to Burton and Bolton's quite woeful goal difference (unle...

Re: Building for next season

Building for next season? I think the stadium would benefit from a wall around the pitch, this would allow the players to "compete" without the sneering dissent of the perfidious fans, whilst simultaneously allowing the "fans" to avoid watching the abject, gutless filth being dis...

Re: BFTG Wednesday (a)

I don't think there is much point in pointing out everything we did wrong there. Midfield was dire. Swift looked like he was playing with an under 18s team around him but was equally ineffective. Everyone seemed afraid to take a shot. Ref was poor. Goals were all from sloppy defending. Bod sadly ha...

Convinced we've got enough on 39 points!

With Clement at the helm I expect us to pick up another 8 - 10 points.

Re: Definitive Paul Clement whelmguage

Hugely whelmed!

Still possession based football, though hopefully more attacking. Yes he's been sacked before - but so has every other manager (barring Wenger and Judas types like Pardew)!

Confident we'll do well in whichever league we're in next season!

Re: who do you want as the new manager

Nigel Pearson (currently in the Belgium second tier).

Warbuton, Coyle or Clement if after a free option with league experience (though not too positive)
