Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (h)

To add insult to injury I went to the early Norwich game today, which they lost 0-2, with the fans attempting to storm the directors box after the game. What on earth is going on at Norwich this season? New American owner, tick, poor recruitment, tick, sold best players apart from Sargent, tick, ne...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

That goal reminded me of the scene in Band of Brothers when Lt Ronald Spiers sprints through the German forces at Foy and the Germans are so surprised and astonished that they forget to shoot him and just look at him mouths agape.
The ball being Lt Spiers and the Germans being the Port Vale defenders.

we're chasing the playoffs - how can it be a free hit? They're not 90s AC Milan * *we'll lose obvs In theory we are chasing the playoffs but surely no one really thinks we will achieve it? Precisely. We aren't in shape to make the play offs, if we did make them we're in absolutely no shape to do we...

Re: Noel Hunt Confrimed

Often did a great somersault after scoring a goal. Bring back those theatricals to the team Hunty! Jayden Wareham somersaults when he scores. Didn't copy it from Noel though as he used to do it when with Chelsea  yes but, obvs we don’t get to see that too often. C’mon Noel, let’s have players ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol Rovers (h)

I've seen a few comments this season from opposition fans about how we "celebrate like we've won the cup". Let me put that in context: Our owner is slowly strangling the club, we're not allowed to sign any players and outside a core of 10 or 11 players, our squad is bulked out with teenage...

Re: Neil Warnock interview in Chronicle

I think you'll find Rommel was a reasonably decent bloke and well respected by the allies. Apart from being a Nazi of course. In Rommel's case that is debatable in some ways, given he was one of the leading players in the plot to kill Hitler in 1944. He tried to kill my grandad so I’m short on ‘he ...

Re: Neil Warnock interview in Chronicle

No respect for the guy. Karacan’s injury (which massively hobbled his career) was not a coincidence. Tetek’s injury (which seems to have effectively ended his career) was not a coincidence. He was a thug of a manager who had no respect for opposing players or officials. That’s the real Warnock, not...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Lincoln City (a)

On the plus side we can now roll our eyes and say we wouldn’t be in the relegation zone without the four points deducted. As someone who keeps being asked ‘What’s going on at Reading’ by not wholly sympathetic acquaintances, that’s a tangible bonus.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Eastleigh (a)

First full game i've seen for a while. Few observations. That result was predictable given the slightly experimental nature of our team and the fact that Eastleigh were more experienced and battle hardened. Of the players, like Azeez. I know he has had lots of criticism early in the season but he pu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (h)

skipper Form of 1 loss in 5 now across all competitions. Lets hope we can turn the league form around now and kick on. We know we have the squad and the facilities. If they can begin to believe in themselves, I'm sure that we all agree that would be pretty handy.

You don’t win anything with facilities.
