Re: Reading vs Non-League

I was at Wealdstone away in the mid to late 70’s. Lost 2-1 to two goals scored by George Duck. Fun on the terraces with rogue Aldershot fans. Plus we got chased back to the coaches. Or was the “they’re coming” a hoax? Anyway, we all ran. I also went to Hereford away, who were then second tier ( so s...

Very happy for Brentford. Would love BHA to be relegated OTOH.

Neutral on AFCB.

I really don’t think Wareham and Elliott would have made that much difference

Re: Hunts gone

Sad for Hunt, like him a lot.

I don’t think he had much to work with tbh, not sure anybody else will do better without a striker and other key reinforcements.

Hope I’m wrong.

16th 8) To all those who didn't take any notice of us who said "let's see where we are after we played our game in hand" and carried on moaning about being in the bottom four. We told you so . Where does all this “game in hand” nonsense come from? After playing that match last night...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Pleased for Amorim/ Brobot. Srsly. Although I do not want Arsenal/ Man City filling the gap. Spurs would be refreshing, but, well, they’ve fcked up again today.

By my calculations Liverpool have conceded two goals in 7/12 matches this season. And their much vaunted new attack has disappointed.

Re: Injury watch 2025/26

morganb injury update via Noel Hunt:

• Derrick Williams back in contact training, not ready for this weekend.

• Andre Garcia will be a few weeks still.

• Liam Fraser out for 6-8 weeks.

• Mamadi Camara back on the grass, non contact.

Hang on, so Pereira is ok?

Re: Poll: Should Noel Hunt be sacked?

Clearly things aren’t great. And Hunt has brought a number of players in, with limited success.

But the budget he has had to work with is paltry, his hands are tied. Pretty sure no manager could improve things without more investment.

Imagine if Marriott gets injured/ suspended :o

Re: Weekend Football

that overturned Pen when Sheshko was taken down by the keeper was full nonsense. It was a pen. It wasn’t the foot that caught the striker, it was the thigh and he ran into that. There was contact then, but Sesko did a ridiculous dive as a result. On balance ( and in accordance with the rules on the...

Re: Players at Reading who you had completely forgotten about

stealthpapes Saw Chris Armstrong mentioned.

Player of Season 08-09 and revealed, after retiring, he'd been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in that season.

Fondly remembered here.

Such modesty from the star of this thread.

Same reason England are always World Cup favourites. It’s where the Home money goes.
