Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h) sponsored by a point off Europe

I thought we were very unlucky last week. An utterly shit performance at home to an average team But a lot of the warning signs were there ... was a similarly inept first half against a weak Boro team. Blackburn are a better team and we've made it so easy for them. Relegation fight it is once again.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (h) sponsored by a point off Europe

I'm a fan of Joao but have to admit has looked lazy and disinterested.
Puscas has looked weak and greedy
Swift has been poor but then our whole midfield has been poor.
Yiadom has been poor and I think it was a reckless challenge and deserved a yellow.

Re: Ex Players

Interesting piece on Royston Drenthe today too https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49664141 Kitson has regrets, Drenthe does not have any regrets - spot the difference. Think the story on Drenthe is a non-story of a complete tool. Kitson's is a much better story of an honest guy struggling with me...

Re: Championship free agents... who would you have?

Forbury Lion Are there any non-free agents that might be available on the cheap who have just been frozen out/training with the U21's? - the same situation as Gunter & McLeary?

Re: Phil Parkinson is waiting.

Facts, back in 106 our record breaking season we had an English manager, English Chairman and a majority English/ British squad. The last time we were promoted in 2011-2012 we had an English manager, English Chairman and a majority English /British squad. Who let Dim Tellor on here? Clearly we won'...

Re: Nova leaves on permanent deal

on the face of it it looks like he wasn't given a chance at reading despite being sucessfull elsewhere and so on. but because of that there must be something in training that makes him not worth taking a chance on. surely just based on his stats alone you would give him more of a chance - how bad m...

Re: Anton took money!!

Mischievous from the OP ! Anton ‘took’ money ? Suggesting it was illegal ? Or he paid himself dividends, interest etc ? SJM ‘took’ money out of the club too. He converted his loans into extra shares, which he eventually sold. He also had use of a very nice penthouse on top of the hotel which I’m gu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (h) sponsored by Dave Shipperley

Very much saw the good and bad with that formation today. First half felt like we controlled the game, though Charlton did look like they had a goal in them. Swift and Ejaria causing all sorts of problems but Charlton well organised and our front two looked like strangers. Joao in particular looked...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (h) sponsored by Dave Shipperley

No idea how Charlton are so oxf*rd high up the table. They're such a limited side. They've taken their chances, same as they have all season so far. They are extremely limited and they know it but for them it's all about survival. Doesn't matter how poor any side is, if you give them the space we d...

Re: Any more out the door?

It's very strange re. Gunter - every manager has always rated him previously but Gomes clearly doesn't ... I actually think it reflects well on Gomes as so many fans on here have commented on Gunter's weaknesses yet manager after manager persisted on playing him week after week. But it seems strang...

Re: BFTG - Plymouth (A)

That was an enjoyable evening and well worth the 350 mile round trip! Thought the kids looked ok for the most part but lacked a bit of quality and cutting edge. Don't think either team deserved to score in the first time though Walker had to be alive to a few crosses early on. Don't know what to ev...

Zip Barrett’s second goal was an absolute belter.

Nameless He may be better suited to the way we play now.
They could loan him back to us whilst picking up his wages in China
Everyone wins that way....

How can he be loaned back to us if we own him and loaned him to them?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (a) sponsored by Steve Francis

How many shots has he faced? 6? It's not all about shots as a goalkeeper: his defensive organization and command of area has prevented a lot of chances in these games from happening. The guy is class. Oh he appears to be a very decent keeper. Still worry about his long distribution. If you see my o...

Poor poor game. Agreed it wasn't a pen ... looked like in real time as Boye seemed to have lost it and then dived in, but on replay it wasn't.
