Re: Next Manager

What if I told you that in the welsh language the name Mark Bowen means Graham Potter? HAHAHA......Sign him now. NOW!!!!! You know I was so hoping Spurs were gonna trounce Brighton last weekend and he would be available as there were rumours......Typical!!!! Bloody Spurs.....useless.... yep y...

Re: Next Manager

Apparently Bowen is favourite with the bookies. What the actual oxf*rd oxf*rd? If that happens we are down.....and League 1 next season. Seriously it would just confirm on here that the owners know f*ck all about football and Nigel Howe has gone senile or had his brain removed by the Chinese in a &...

Re: Next Manager

Jose's sacking was probably one of the worst kept secret for a long while. Everyone knew on Sunday but it wasn't announced until Wednesday. As there had been such a delay do we really think it was due to thrashing out a severance deal or do we think the owners have already settled upon a replacemen...

Re: Next Manager

Just realised Tony Pulis is available.... We certainly wouldn't end the season in the relegation zone with him at the helm. It would just mean putting up with shithouse football. Depends what we want. If we had shithouse football til the end of the season and we finished mid table......I would take...

Re: Next Manager

Sparky is a very decent manager and.....he is scary as well. I remember watching Wales when he was manager and after an appalling first 45 against Belarus walked past me at half time. You wouldn't f*ck with him and Id have hated to have been one of the players. Second half....different story...came...

Re: GOMES OUT!

I'm disappointed that he's been sacked, but not surprised. If he's lost the dressing room then it can only go one way. That's disapointing considering that the team spirit he instilled last season was crucial in us staying up but tactically we seem to have the same issues cropping up each week, and...

Re: GOMES OUT!

So the loss of Barrow is one reason for our struggles this season. But this was probably outside of Gomes control and probably Gomes would have him in the side if he could. Another issue is the freezing out of McCleary and Gunter. Barrow leaving and McCleary frozen out suddenly doesn't look like a ...

Re: GOMES OUT!

Hound I heard he wanted to stay down south, understandably being as he is from London and has family this way.

Which is why I suspect we do have a chance of getting him

What you mean he isn't irish? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Re: GOMES OUT!

Barnsley sack their manager, first shout on Hughton maybe. And as usual our timing will be poor and we will miss out and probably the replacement selection will be a complete waste of time. As said on here before by some unless we get an experienced manager at this level with a proven track record,...

Re: GOMES OUT!

That's not what I've said zip. Take a break and lose some of the outraged indignation, it'll help. He did a good job. He kept us up, barely. These things are not mutually exclusive. He is no longer doing a good job. Clement kept us up too btw. You have no problem with the difference between him doi...

Re: GOMES OUT!

With 5 excellent loanees and a really big feel good factor, barely. Totally different conditions zip. Going in halfway through lifting the mood and just having to raise things a bit, to going in with a proper plan, having serious input on signings. Having to lift the players from your own issues. N...

Re: GOMES OUT!

You don't honestly think the owners are that short-sighted, are you? They and Howe would have looked at his whole tenure, and examined the progress made in that time. The fact he was given millions to spend in the summer and has only beaten two poor sides will also be taken into account. I'm not sa...

Re: GOMES OUT!

So he is set for crunch talks according to some websites. Is that the same as "a vote of confidence from the board"? What has upset me about him tonight is his reply that he isn't worried about losing his job. I find that incredible. Of all the answers he could have given, that's the one t...

Re: Gomes, Should he stay or should he go? Mk2

I don't understand why people would give a manager who clearly is running out of ideas, upsetting players by naming them publicly as the reason we lost a game and then dropping them, as well as constantly tinkering starting line ups, and making weird substitutions during games more time. More time ...

Re: Gomes, Should he stay or should he go? Mk2

Fulham game turned me 180.....10 men or not......he has made too many mistakes and quite frankly looks a little bit lost and out of his depth judging by his interview. I don't think he can cut it at this level in English football. Sad, he is a likable guy. Houghton for me.....its time we had someone...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

Wonder if he has the balls to swallow his pride and play Baldock up front or put him on the bench. He can't do much worse and would have quite a point to prove.
