Re: Reading FC podcasts

While we might have one of the best websites in football , the Tilehurst End Podcast is one of the most awful things I have ever heard. The Presenter is ok , but the amount of repetition and lack of fluidity in thought and speech from the guests is unbearable. You really should get someone to edit ...

Re: Reading FC podcasts

Latest interview episode up. This time we talk to the club's Commercial Director Adam Benson and the Head of Communications Mark Bradley. Some good stuff on ticket prices, atmosphere, DJ MegaParty, how the club uses social media and how they want more dialogue with fans. http://thetilehurstend.sbnat...

Re: Dellor moaning about Vydra again!!!

Just out of purely personaly curiosity, can you both just clarify, once and for all, that you are excusing Matej Vydra for that 94th minute miss from 6 yards last night? Nope! He's a top class striker and should finish that more often than not. My point was that it's not the calibre of shocking, ho...

Re: Dellor moaning about Vydra again!!!

Think we're all on the same page though... if the club had been building the squad properly over the past few years we'd have others to come in and take the heat away from Vydra. As it is, right now we've got a man with 1 goal in 35 games, a youngster with about 20 goals, all in League One who's bee...

Re: Dellor moaning about Vydra again!!!

That miss last night was ghastly, absolutely terrible and it's cost us 3 points. The guy has every right, in the heat of the moment, to call Vydra every name under the sun. I dare say you'd shout worse from your seat. The fact that it isn't the first time either makes it all the more frustrating. V...

Re: Dellor moaning about Vydra again!!!

This is what Joel Hufford talked about when we interviewed him on TTE Podcast the other week. He explained that his approach was to sit there, call the games, bring fans the experience of being there at the game but then let Mick or the other summarisers have their opinions. For Tim, it's different,...

Re: Reading FC podcasts

Cheers Genome, I think he's very happy with where he is right now, as a bit of a spoiler for Part 2 he talks about feeling he'd done as much as he could, there was no challenge left for him. Compared it to getting Christmas dinner every day, eventually you want something different. I think the strai...

Re: The Egg chasers relegation

Was pondering this earlier, Some quotes from admittedly the previous regime in 2013 when faced with relegation.... “Firstly, we won’t get relegated. But even if we did, we will still be at Madejski Stadium. “You would expect when these sort of contracts are put in place long term all different event...

Re: The Tilehurst End & other Reading blogs

Been a while. But thought I'd drop by to flag up our state of Reading series where we're delving into key areas around the club in 2016 like the Academy, transfer strategy, the club's identity and more. So if that floats your boat you can head here. http://thetilehurstend.sbnation.com/2016/2/15/1100...

Re: Reading FC podcasts

The comparison has crossed my mind.....

Both came from Watford, both played for England at youth level, both trying to replace a very successful keeper ;)

Fortunately there's a much better support structure around today which is something I believe Sheppard touches upon in that interview.
