Re: CONFIMRED… ish

My theory is that the EFL were always going to give extensions but they've called them deadlines to force the sale to pick up the pace and get done Yes 100% but when they keep just extending those deadlines the phrase starts to lose all meaning To some on the outside maybe. As long as those on the ...

Re: CONFIMRED… ish

Maybe the EFL shouldn’t have called them ‘deadlines’ which suggests some finality. Or at least said there’d be a series of deadlines for certain aspects to progress. Would have saved them looking even more powerless, stress on us, and these over clubs thinking we’re getting special treatment Maybe ...

Re: CONFIMRED… ish

You could definitely run summer tournaments in the stadium - other teams do it inc Wycombe. It’d be a big draw. They could do them in the domes as well. Or the training ground. I don’t think we’re so close to London that you couldn’t hold an event in the stadium. We’re a good hour if not hour and ha...

Re: Summer 2025 club player releases

Would take all of them, then sell them for £10k each. Easy £1m. Until you subtract all those wages you are paying Nathan Baxter is an interesting one. We almost signed him a few years back. I thought he was very highly rated If we sell them immediately we won't have to pay wages. Think he'll go to ...

Re: CONFIMRED

But I’m assuming absolutely nobody with the slightest bit of sense thought you were from the Bangkok news or actually called Huang Kad? So you were actually just a reasonable itk account who leaked some info which wasn’t forthcoming elsewhere? And just about the only one with any credibility whatsoe...

Re: CONFIMRED

I normally hate this kind of stuff, but my word Brogue that was one hell of a long con. I'm not sure what the point was, but that's not really the point. I salute you, terrific stuff. cheers buddy, i started it when the thai's took over. Twitter was a very different place back then, was just suppos...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Wareham did enough for me to extend his contract. May well get better as well

Ehibhatiomhan didn’t have the best of seasons, but was still useful. He has 12 goals from about 50 starts last two years and still only 22. Again a definite contract offer imo

Re: CONFIMRED

They’ve just built a very good new astroturf pitch there. It’s still a really good facility overall at Sonning Re: coaches. The vast majority will be age group coaches in the academy won’t they? We have u8 through to u18 - so say 3-4 per group - that could be as many as 50 altogether. They’d be on a...

Re: Low point of the Dai era

Millsy Asking for the low point of Dai's era is like asking for the wettest part of the pacific ocean.

Hmm that’s actually quite good. You ok Millsy?

Re: Low point of the Dai era

To be honest, it all went a bit Donald Trump. When you think it can't get any worse, something else pops up. Undoubtedly there were some very low points but it all felt like self parody and a bit unreal. There was a point about 4 years ago when people were saying "when we get x and y off the p...

Re: Low point of the Dai era

Bearwood was weird - definitely a low but again a bit of murmuring that Couhig was after the whole club. As said if he had bought it we’d prob have been sold months ago At the time, didn't Couhig say something like "be patient ... you don't know the whole story" which would tie in with Be...

Re: CONFIMRED

Christ, £12m loss with a squad of academy graduates, League One freebies and a few Champ players like Yids, Holmes, McIntyre. Did we end up paying Carroll the whole season or something? How are we losing this much money with a high income for League One. The rest of the division aren't doing this b...

Re: CONFIMRED

Brogue from what I've understand button is on silly wages for a league one club, which is a joke as he signed when we were in league one.

Re: CONFIMRED

Yeah that wage bill still unsustainably high I guess there was still a hangover from the champ days in these accounts - Ejaria must have been on some hefty wages, maybe the likes of Holmes, McIntyre,Yiadom, Hutchinson, Carroll were on a bit more than we thought Only have Yiadom from that leaking int...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Can anyone tell me what the actual feck a contract in football means? Why are players contracted until 2026 and then can just bloody leave? I'm guessing it's clauses, like if another club pays a lot of money as a penalty/compensation, or if the club failed in some way such as relegated. It is annoy...
