Re: Back from the pain

skipper Is this the Joao that Sheff Wed and Blackburn warned us about?

Do we really have to have this every bloody time Joao has a dodgy game?

Or is this a new whoosh and some TB humour?

Re: Back from the pain

definitely not writing McIntyre off, but he looked very dodgy for whatever reason. Unlike Moore, doesn't have the strength to make up for his lack of height and looked slow. Definitely worth trying Gibson for the next game

Could have a bench of proper first team squad players for stoke hopefully.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by Dylan Kerr

sounds like Ejaria is most likely to be back. Meite maybe not yet. He's been a huge miss. For whatever reason McIntyre looked way off in the last game. If Gibson doesn't come in now, he probably never will. Bit early for Yiadom to start I think, need to tread carefully with him. Tempting to go 2 up ...

Re: Back from the pain

Only saw the highlights but shit defending + missing good chances mean you lose

McIntyre looked dreadful sadly. And Joao will be kicking himself pretty hard tonight

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by David Leworthy

Missed too many good chances when on top. Shit happens. I didn't post it , because they scored as I finished it, but I had actually just completed writing - We are playing well but as always in football we need to score when ahead...... These old adages exist for a reason. Would obvs be a totally d...

Hendo
Old Man Andrews Gareth McCleary signs for Gareth Ainsworth's Wycombe Wanderers.

Good signing for them, good experience in that squad. Hopefully he does well.

Happy for him - good stuff

Re: Rival Watch

Stoke are quietly sneaking up the table. If they win tonight they'll be up to 4th. They've got a good manager there, think that has done wonders for them. They're a team i've not paid too much attention to tbh. Didn't they sign a load of old experienced players in the summer? Not sure they'll have ...

Re: Rival Watch

Boro held as well. Watched a bit, they were all over Blackburn with their horrible hoof-dive-set piece football and quite happy they didn’t win

Re: Rival Watch

Ascotexgunner Swansea look a beast of a team.
Brentford I'm afraid might make top 6 but really don't seem to be clinical going forward.

Yep stats for the game were quite heavily in Swansea’s favour. Look a good side

Ascotexgunner
Zip Yes if Boro don’t win it’s a very good night. The point at Boro looks very decent in hindsight.

How the hell has Warnock turned it around there? They have been utter sh*te for the last 2 seasons and relegation fodder.

Just playing standard warnock style football. It does work sadly

Re: Rival Watch

From Despair To Where? Could have done with Bristol City not winning but on balance, not a bad set of results so far. Fingers crossed Blackburn can do us a favour.

Tbh was more concerned about Huddersfield than Bristol city even though they were a point behind. They’d been playing well

Re: First place after 10 games

Thanks. Dell or did a similar analysis after fewer games. One thing that stood out (for me) was how steady and predictable the last 5 years were compared to the preceding 5 years, which seemed very erratic. Not sure why. You’d hope this year would be like the last 5 but given covid, compression etc...
