Re: Match Thread - READING (H) v IPSWICH (A)

dissapointed not to see Bikey in the team, I don't understand why he's not been given a game. Nice to see USA back, hopefully he can organise the defence. (bit of a shame for A-Fed though) As for the midfield, at least they are all players Kits knows well? Doyler has needed a rest and it's good we'v...

Re: Forest Match Thread sponsored by Steve Stone

The frustrating thing is to take 6 points from Wolves, yet drop 5 from Southampton and as it stands 5 from Forest. The team has shown in patches all year that its a class above the division yet since the new year we're just sat in first gear. I really don't know what the answer is, perhaps get USA a...

Re: Forest Match Thread sponsored by Steve Stone

Not much to say, from the sounds of people on here, and reading the BBC text it seems a typical huff and puff effort with no reward.

With every game this season reminds me more and more of 04/05 :(

Colin Lee? ;)

I'd give Curbs a go, much as I hate him for what he did in the past I wouldn't even hate Pards coming back that much... *awaits a lynching*

Re: RFC Hall of Fame

Is there a space in here for Mr JE Syddenham who formed the club back in 1871? (or at least was our first Chairman, I'm sure some sad git will pick me up on some minor point) Also Roger Smee & co who saved from extinction in the 1980's. And let us not forget the great Keith Scott. Randolph Scott?

Re: Rumour - SHunt off

Kilbane would be a decent enough stop gap for the season and can cover left back as well but I wouldn't want to see us lose anymore then £500-£750k off a £5 million fee for him.

Re: RFC Hall of Fame

If you did have a Hall of Fame I'd prefer there to a list of nominees from former players/staff/RFC journo's to then be voted on by the supporters. Also as they do for Baseball's HOF a period of say 5-10 years should have passed since they were involved with RFC before they can be voted in, to stop ...

Re: Cardiff FA Cup Match Thread

Wrong-those of us who have away season tickets still have to pay for a game like today. I gave mine away because it was cheaper than spending £50 or so in petrol to go and watch our reserves. Incidentally Coppell is reported as saying that with our normal defence the first goal wouldn't have happen...

Re: Cardiff FA Cup Match Thread

I hardly think that one year of relative success in the Premier League makes us established, second season syndrome ring any bells? We drew the bigger clubs because we entered the draw at the same time as them, previously we hardly made R3 from the third tier. Just check the draws we had at differen...

Re: Cardiff FA Cup Match Thread

How many points would a cup run cost us then? How many times do we lose key players through injury during games? With that in mind I'd love to see how many players we'd lose in the extra 3 or 4 games a cup run might bring us The thrill of getting to a cup final, and the road to it, is just as enjoy...

Re: Cardiff FA Cup Match Thread

I don't see why so many people complain about our 'cup side' to be honest. SSC obviously feels certain players need a rest or else he wouldn't rest them would he? He's not putting out a different team just for the sake of it. He obviously has faith in all of these squad guys do come in and do a job ...

Re: £5M for S Hunt

Franchise FC I'm bored so I'll bite !!

THERE'S A £5M RELEASE CLAUSE IN SHUNT'S CONTRACT.

Another new thread on the same subject is just what I need - scuppered my New Year resolution not to post on rubbish threads

What does this thread have to do with waste disposal? :|

Re: £5M for S Hunt

The worst kept secret at Reading is that Hunt has a 5million release clause in his contract.

Otherwise, check the thread in the rumours section :)

Re: RUMOUR - Andrew Surman

The later three would be better examples had they not been from a completely different era, I don't think players that came through the "youth team" two decades ago can be used to demonstrate a successful academy system now. IMAMATEOFJOVSKY said that HISTORY suggests that youth players do...
