Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

The funding gap this month is around £1m according to several sources on Twitter.

By my maths if we sell out the 3 home games on sale currently we'd get near-ish...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

What usual payments would there be that wouldn’t be paid, other than money from Dai? Ticket sales aren't going to be a lot different. Transfer fee installments aren't going to unexpectedly fluctuate as Uke says. TV money? I've no idea, but Earnshaw has spoken to several people at the club...I'm gue...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

James Earnshaw has just posted on Twitter that March is seen as a one off bad month for funding due to certain usual payments not being received but things should be ok for rest of season.

Re: If a buyer isn’t going to happen, would you rather?

We made big losses the year we were promoted under Sir Steve. Sir John "cut the cloth" Madejski whose era we all use as example of running the club properly was still an era of losses. Which brings me back to what i said. Even with running the club properly, we're expecting a random perso...

Re: If a buyer isn’t going to happen, would you rather?

Torquay are the latest club to be saved following on from Scunthorpe, Rochdale and Southend, going back a bit Derby and Bolton and Wigan have new ownership and WBA more recently. It would appear that it happens to other clubs, but not us. Some of them took ages to sell, we've been for sale since th...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Any straws to clutch at from SJM's Bearwood visit? It's well known that he's not as wealthy as he was, but this must be killing him to watch. All his work over 25 years or so, a model club others aspired to copy. All could count for nothing. Surely he must be thinking about how whatever he has left...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

We usually get an update from STAR at the start of the week, be interesting to see what Howe says as he seems to have spun them a load of nonsense to date.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

They're testing the water. Presumably they're underwhelmed with offers to buy the club and are trying to spin another way of extracting value. It won't work, so what happens next? They finally accept what's on offer? But it's more delay. The takeover can't be close. No it can't be, but didn't Howe ...

Re: Rival Watch

Somehow not much damage done today, but we could really have pulled clear which is frustrating.

We weren't the only side to drop points late on, Cheltenham, Cambridge, Burton & Exeter did also.

No one in the bottom 4 is in any kind of form luckily, think 3 wins from 9 games will do it.

Elm Park Kid I heard this morning that SCL have paid this month's tax bill.

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

SJM was at Bearwood yesterday, apparently the first time he's visited.

I know he's not got the cash he once had but maybe he's assisting with getting funds together to help out over the next few weeks?

Snowflake Royal
Stranded
stealthpapes For any 6 pointer not featuring us, the best result is normally a draw. Fewer points, spread evenly.

Very much that. Both teams dropping points whilst we hopefully pick up 3.

Totally agree.

Shrewsbury win I reckon as I think Vale would be done if they lost again to a rival at the bottom.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Probably a mix of both. I suspect things were just as dire in the autumn, we know SCL had to step in and we had a mix of late wage payments, HMRC defaults and suppliers leaving. The difference now is we have the suspended EFL penalty. But I also wonder if in the autumn there was optimism that the c...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Am I right there's a cut off to apply deductions for new offences? So even if we are late with everything 2 more points is the limit this season? Obviously we don't want to start next season on negative points and the risk is ultimately liquidation. Anybody telling Dai how serious this is? This wil...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

I just got some troubling information concerning our finances. Basically, if Dai doesn't agree to the sale very soon then we'll be getting the 2-point suspended deduction in April. Even if he does it depends on whether the new owner is willing to give us money before the sale is finalised. It could...

Re: Selles In

Agree with much of the above. Yes, Arsenal are scoring for fun atm but I also saw their games on Sky against Villa and Brighton in the last month and they just gave up when going behind, neither side was in particularly good form either at the time. At least before Christmas Sheffield were competiti...

Re: The final 10

5 homes - 3 wins, one draw, one defeat. Probably shouldn't lose any, but allowing for one bad result. 5 aways - draw Rovers, beat Burton, lose other 3. That gives 14 points and think if anything pessimistic on current form. 51 points including -2...I can't see the bottom 4 getting above 48. No one l...

RG30 Mark Bowen said we had a top 3 wage bill budget on BBC Radio Berkshire earlier this season.

I think it was top three based on all outgoings, only us and Derby have cat one academies.

Re: Rival Watch

Well we are almost certain to lose another 2 points later this month with the news coming out today, i would imagine if we don`t pay the wages again it could get worse by next month, we are still very much in danger of the drop, or worse. Isn't there a cut off for new charges to affect the season? ...
