It doesn't start until 7.10pm - i doubt the players/staff will be hanging around that long after a game.........

LoyalRoyalFan As you may know Jason Roberts presents 606 on Saturday evenings.

Do you agree with this?

I am sure that BBC Caversham will find somewhere for him after home games. Away games shouldn't be an issue as there is bound to be a BBC Studio within the vicinity.

They might be if they play badly!

Aren't the presenters meant to prepare a bit before they go on air?

As long as he has a handkerchief in his top pocket I can't see the club having any objections.

John Terry's selection for England's Euro 2012 squad would have a "toxic" effect on the dressing room, according to Jason Roberts.

Chelsea defender Terry denies allegedly racially abusing QPR's Anton Ferdinand in a Premier League game in October.

Reading striker and BBC Radio 5 live pundit Roberts believes Terry should not be selected for England until after his court case.

He tweeted all this apparently.

Nice to see one of our players top of BBC sport. Good for the club's profile I guess.

Tokyo Sex Whale Main story on The Sun website too.

Dont mind him commenting on his show but i'd rather he just kept his head down.

Hes not a head down bloke. I disagree that he should be commenting on Terry/Ferdinand, but someone had to say it. Terry must be a bit "Who r ya?" about it though.

I think his type is exactly what we need for the dressing room though. We are so good at the back but just don't impose ourselves offensively. Jason will stand up, battle, be a bit controversial.

LoyalRoyalFan As you may know Jason Roberts presents 606 on Saturday evenings.

Do you agree with this? Is it good for a Reading player to be presenting a nationwide radio show? Maybe we can get some extra coverage?

As you know LoyalRoyalFan has a job/goes to college/is on the dole and writes on this board?

Do you agree with this?

What someone does in their spare time is entirely up to them. Good luck to the bloke - at least he is building himself another career.

I don't think Roberts presenting the show is a major problem but if I was manager I would actually prefer if one of my players stuck to media work on non match days. Most players don't hang about very long at the stadium after a match anyway though.

I have just a slight concern on the wider scale of Roberts media work in that our team spirit has been based on having no big time Charlies in the squad and when one or two players started to go that way we were relegated. However it could be under the new regime that is something McDermott will have to deal with.

If it raises the profile of the club in a positive manner, then what is so wrong with it? For the first time in a long time, we are getting some seriously positive headlines about the club. None of it is patronising as it was when we were in the Prem. The club has shifted 180 degrees from being a selling club to a buying club. The philosophy of sensible financial management has not been discarded.

I just don't get the negativity.

There is no need for negativity .. If Jason Roberts is on the Radio then so what.. All that he has said about John Terry is correct it is also his personal opinion. None of it is showing Reading in a bad light. Its actually quite nice to have someone who doesnt shy away from stuff like this at the club.

If it upsets John Terry and his cheatski crones then really who cares.. The amount of Cheatski fans is dwindling anyway as they are now becoming Man citeh fans

I think it's far more interesting that Jason Roberts has aired his opinion rather than hearing the usual bland sound bites that a lot of footballers say when faced in front of the media e.g. play it safe and never state your true opinion. The 606 show is great listening and Jason Roberts is excellent on the show.

Fat sod and so called Sports Journalist of The Year, Martin Samuel, has a pop at Jason in his column:

Jason Roberts, who is busily playing up an average career in football.... into a more rewarding one in the media, instantly announced via Twitter.........

What a shame then that someone who claims to be Sports Journalist of The Year is too damn lazy to do his research (maybe that's too much physical exertion for him) and instead comes up with a distinctly below average and hopefully not rewarding piece of work in the media when he states in the same column

he is currently on loan at Reading from Blackburn
