THE NEXT SIX IN THE RELEGATION DOG FIGHT!

by jellytot » 20 Jan 2013 13:00

Here are the next six fixtures for the teams that I consider to be in the relegation battle (7 for saints who play on Monday).

What are your predictions? Current points in brackets

QPR (15)

Man C H
Norwich A
Swansea A
Man U H
Saints A
Sunder H

Wigan (19)
Stoke A
Saints H
Chelsea A
Reading A
Liverpool H
Man C A

Reading (19)
Chelsea H
Sunder H
Stoke A
Wigan H
Everton A
Villa H

Villa (20)
Newc H
Everton A
West H H
Arsenal A
Man C H
Reading A

Newcastle (21)
Villa A
Chelsea H
Spurs A
Saints H
Swans A
Stoke H

Saints (22)
Everton H
Man U A
Wigan A
Man C H
Newc A
QPR H
Norwich A

Fulham (25)
West H H
Man U H
Norw A
Stoke H
Sund A
QPR A

Norwich (26)
Spurs H
QPR A
Fulham H
Everton H
Man U A
Saints H

My prediction after those games is --

QPR 22, Wigan 22 Villa 25 Reading 26 (being kind ?) Newcastle 26 Saints 28 Norwich 30 Fulham 31

Reading to draw with Sunderland at home and beat villa and Wigan at home which must be a minimum requirement for us as we have tougher games to come. Perhaps we can get a result at Stoke?

I think Villa and NUFC are dead certs to go down. Both are having horrific seasons, the latter being bottom of the form table.

I'd love the other team to be QPR, I really would. Absolute despicable manager and club, spending well beyond their means. Fulham, Wigan and even Sunderland despite their recent streak of form and safe either.

Reading could well do it, but the home games are massively important. Hope it's not too much pressure again. I'd hate to see a repeat of that bastard Fulham game where we just didn't turn up and got relegated on goal difference.

Can't see Villa going down, but think that Wigan are in all sorts of trouble. They have a horrible run of games coming up.

The more we win, the more those who said we were doomed will feel the need to convince us that we still are

Not sure about Villa - Vlaar back will be a big difference to their defence and other players have come back from injury; same in a way with Newcastle who have quality players returning, one decent result could have them off on a run.

Yes, would love to see QPR go down - but Redknapp will already have the excuses lined up however much they spend this month . Hope he remembers if we stay up and they go down that we were bottom going into xmas before the transfer window opened and how much both sides spent this Jan.

I can see ourselves and QPR surviving and Villa, Wigan and Newcastle going down. Ourselves and Rangers are showing very real signs of improvement whilst these bigger clubs are going from bad to worse.

Must admit I don't know much about Vlaar other than he's only just broken back into the side after having been kept out for a while.

NUFC are falling apart. Top scorer gone, Captain wants to leave - it's decimated what little moral there was. Again they have one striker who can cut it in the premiership with Cisse. Apart from that it looks very grim. Although it seems Mbiwa is about to sign, which would massively strengthen the defence if Colocini is convinced he should stay.

Redknapp is disgusting. Barely even a month after complaining that his players are overpaid mercenaries and then he pays a new striker £80k pw. Just for the good of the English game QPR need to go down so they stop spoiling it for the rest of us.

Yep it does feel that QPR are going to cheat their way out of it by spending a ton. If they go down what kind of position will they be in? Would be great if QPR went down. Plus Newcastle too

Redknapp was interviewed on MOTD and claimed he didn't know how much Remy was being paid..... Apparently the Chairman negotiated the deal without Harrys input...... :?

we have nothing to lose against Chelsea and nobody could expect anything. A draw against them would be great but Sunderland is the key game. If we lose that, or even draw we will lose our momentum and probably a lot of belief. Will take a lot to bounce back from that.

People have been posting this sort of thing on all teams' messageboards for the last 7 or 8 years.

Old Harry plays the clever game of saying he doesn't get involved with the dealings and has no idea of the transfer fees and salaries dished out..in other words passing the buck if it goes tits up !

The 4 home games are vital. 7 points from the next 6 min.

Need a couple of new quality signings too.
