One of the most consistent players and a stalwart in our promotion winning team that kept the most clean sheets, scoring the goal to take us up. Was hugely influential the season before dominating the midfield as we reached the PO final. He's not prem quality but it's not his fault he was repeatedly selected in a doomed premier league campaign. Mikele Leigertwood has been wonderful for Reading Football club and should be acknowledged so.

I would have chosen Akpan (but he said himself he should be fine for wednesday did he not?) as I think at the moment with this little run of good performances and results its really important to keep the same team shape and personal.

he may be one of our worst if playing now, but think back to his first 2 seasons, what a key player he was!

Lets be honest, in all my years of watching Reading the only Reading sides Leigertwood wouldn't walk into would be the 94/95 and the 05-07 teams and without his injury, he'd probably be in the team ahead of Akpan now.

Do we have any idea when Legs, Morrison and Bridge are back?

I know they've said Morrison has taken a knock but I cant quite remember a season where the fans have been so in the dark about potential return dates. The last I've seen re. Injury news was the three mentioned above back late Jan/early Feb

Last update we had was that Morro and Bridge should be taking part in some of the training with the 1st team this week or next and Legs could potentially be back for the end of the season.

Baird was supposedly going to be back in contention weeks ago. Being out of contract he may well be fully fit and we just haven't heard about it.
