Goalkeeper and midfielder on loan to cover for Quinn and Tishbola. Meanwhile Hector should be played as a defensive midfielder and push Norwood forward

Try to offload Kanu - for money perhaps Swansea may take him
Williams, as he offers nothing and looks like he may be disruptive

RG7Fan god knows why he was captain on Thursday.

In that case HNA? must be populated by a hundred gods - he captained us because he's the vice captain and McShane was injured.

The only position we need to strengthen is goalkeeper. We're fine in every other position.

We should recall Kuhl and Tanner, that's two extra midfield bodies whilst Quinn and Tshibola are out. Tanner is probably the most natural Quinn-replacement in the squad. Given Ferdinand and McShane's injury records and Hector's dodgy form, I wouldn't say no to an extra centre back, but the right player would need to be available.

Other than that, we've got at least two players for every position - twelve for the left wing - so we should be fine.

In that case god knows why he is vice captain ...

Given his performances before that match he should have been cleaning the toilets.

He's vice captain because that position was appointed at the beginning of the season after an excellent run at the end of last.

We can't afford to have another loanee, we've already got six.

From Despair To Where? it looks like we may be signing Dillon Powers.
Would we sign a new player without a manager in place?
Someone needs to determine whether we actually need this player or not now rather than go by the judgement of an ex-employee they sacked as they felt they were no longer up to the job.

+1 as long as it's a good one..... however, a decent goalkeeping coach (bring back Sal Bibbo) might develop Bond into a decent Championship keeper. I think with Al Halsi you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Hammond backed by Kuhl should be able to make that sort of decision.

Oddly enough I was coming back to post that when I saw Ian Royal had left a message on this page.

Do you think the new manager will buy a new keeper? I mean, is it as blatant to everyone else that that is our massive area of weakness?

Dave-Royal bond fine, start him next game

Can we strengthen Dave-Royal by replacing him with someone that has a modicum of intellect?

GOALKEEPER
GOALKEEPER
GOALKEEPER

Anyone who thinks we can continue with Al Dropsi and Bond licence to spill is a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

Can we bring Marcus Hahnemann back out of retirement or maybe Shaka Hislop?

We have been truly blessed with excellent keepers in the past but these two are just woeful. Are there any in the prem that are not getting game time at the moment? As poaching from another champs team I am assuming will be out of the question in Jan and my knowledge of "top" goalkeepers in Div 1 is limited.

Who would you want in?

McCarthy, Davis, or Darlow would be nice. Myhill would be ace but that ship has sailed.

Ever thought about standing for election yourself, RG7?

I agree the current crop aren't up to much.

Havent laughed so much in ages at that suggestion.

Not for me - I'm far too cynical ...
