Mid Sussex Royal Very low fee in today's ridiculous market...BBC now confirming going to Chelsea.

Don't think this is the best move for him, his game time is likely to be very limited

He’ll be available on loan, though

I saw his one appearance for us. Last game of the season away to Man City at Maine Rd. 2-0 up and cruising at half time, Smith comes on for the second half and we lose 3-2.

I think he'll feature. Nkunku is injured so he'll get chances initially alongside Chukweameka or however you spell it. And when he gets his chance, I back him to take it.

Shows he just has an agent who while doesn’t seem to be advising him particularly badly, also knows his potential and insists on release clauses.

Wonder if the people that initially gave all the grief and still do, will now acknowledge that it was have Olise with a low release clause, or don’t have him at all.

Hound Great signing for Chelsea at that price. Incredibly good business

Amazed the other top clubs haven’t been all over it, Chelsea will be delighted

Prob worth 70-80m in todays prices, £120m if Brighton are setting the fee

If Chelsea do sign Olise and Lavia from Saints that's just about £1bn in spending under this owner, across 3 windows.

Can't see they've re-couped much this summer aside from Havertz....how are they doing it re FFP? And no Euro income... Even allowing for 8 year contracts that's still £125m pa plus no doubt sizeable wages.

Because it doesn't really kick in until 3 years down the line. So they've probably got about 18 months to sort it out.

Which is why FFP is an utter load of cr@p it should be a set of rules that enable authorities to sanction clubs at the time or at least in the same season as the offences occur. Personally feel the FL and PL should get together and create a whole new department that is dedicated to club accounting and scrutinises all transfer and contractual deals and if clubs are in danger or break the aforementioned rules then any proposed deal that does that can be rejected by the authority there and then to help prevent that club getting themselves into too much of a mess.

I think spreading transfer fees is fair. City signed Haaland for a low fee, but I'd guess his wage package will make him more expensive over 5 years than any of Chelsea's signings, so shouldn't we compare them for the package as a whole? And they have made a lot of sales too.

The offences haven't occurred until the end of the three year period.

The point of multi-year cycles is.it allows you to spend big one yearanf cover that by turning a solid profit in a later year.

Personally think we need a proper regulator and all transfer fees, agreements, contracts and wages to go through them.

Good news for him and Palace. Stay there and be the star for another season rather than warm Chelsea's bench. If he has another great season for Palace a bigger club than Chelsea will come in for him. Everyone wins in this situation.

Surprised given I was led to believe that it is impossible to get Olise and his agent to agree to signing a new contract and raising his buyout clause.

Only joking, I know there are differences betwee our situation and Palace.

West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing free agent Liam Moore, who is currently without a club after leaving Reading FC.
