Crusader Royal
Royals and Racers
Harrison Delbridge Why

Why they play one round or why they withdraw.
Comp was 1st played in 1878/9 and when Covid hit the 2020/1 comp was not played.Since then Maidenhead Utd have pulled out in 2021/2, 2022/3 and 2023/4. Sometimes at very short notice. Last season they won 2 matches and pulled out at the QF stage. In season 2022/3 they beat Slough in round 1 before a big crowd and then pulled out before they played Marlow.
They have used various excuses but seem happy to pay the fine and not play thus sticking 2 fingers up to the competition !!

I think the fine is about £75.

Add a nought £750

Why would they play 2 games and pull out but not try win it? That's unfair on the teams who they beat

Because Maidenhead disrespect the tournament !! I think their efforts to stay in the National league take priority in their thinking. I know the B & B are not happy with the situation but i believe step 6 and below have to enter the County Cup.
It does need mentioning that last season sadly Wycombe also pulled out, but previously have fully supported the competition. Their success in the EFL trophy( BSM) meant they didn’t have enough dates to play all their matches.

So Reading may do the same thing if they get to the later stages of the BSM.

I think I saw somewhere it had been postponed so worth checking before attempting to go.

H-T Wallingford 0 Windsor 1
0-2 50 mins
0-3 81 mins Pen

F-T 0-4 Windsor and Eton looked a classy side - far too good for step 6 as their league position shows. Kowalkowski was quality and scored a hat- trick.

Flackwell went a goal down but quickly recovered to be the better team. Their 2nd goal early in the 2nd half was controversial after the lino flagged- the ref played on and i thought the lino was then in no position to see if the attacker was offside when a through ball was played.
