JedMaxwell Having had some potentially fatal events in my life, the details of which I won't bore you with, time becomes the predominant healer once the physical effects are gone/dealt with.
Once you've mentally processed what happens, you start to look at the situation differently and realise that it was pre-destined to happen and in fact this is probably the best-case scenario. I am sure whatever does happen, eventually Michail will come to realise being able to see his kids and carry on living is actually a gift.
Anyway, as said before he's in great physical condition to deal with whatever injuries he has and also has a good personality for recovery. I hope the mental scars aren't too burdensome either.
