Strange at the end as we had a long injury break for an unfortunate Bracknell player who had to be stretchered off. The ref blew for full time bang on 90 mins without playing any additional time - should have been at least 8 mins !!!
John Clarke was watching and we are unlikely to see him back playing this season as he is struggling with muscle damage to his leg.

That's a very disappointing result. Seems our current youth team is a long way behind where it's been for the past couple of seasons.

Unsurprising as those of previous years have moved up. Maybe a sign though that the club is starting to run out of those really good enough to make the jump up.

Thats what I said to my kids, definitely 8-10 mins when the lad was on the floor with the gas & air before being stretchered off, never good to hear a grown man crying in pain

Bracknell just looked up for it and obviously were trying to start firing again after their dismal recent run

You have to think what Michael Stickland must be thinking these days, he sees most of his age group progressing into the first team and yet he finds himself propping up the backline with the new crop of U19's against Bracknell, surely he'll be wanting out this summer

Not sure about wanting out, more like released along with Wellens, Boyce-Clarke and Senga to name 3.

If he was thought to be good enough to be around the first team squad, with the club in the state it currently is, he would be there. But he's not, so if his contract is up, he is likely to be released.

To be honest, what was the point. Neither team wanted to play after that awful injury and the result was a foregone conclusion, absolutely nothing to be gained by playing an extra 8 minutes.

Interestingly, as the guy was being stretched off, the Reading bench spoke to the ref who then spoke to the 2 captains. Just wondered if the Reading bench said to the ref something along the lines of that unless the score has changed favourably, we are happy to concede the game on 90.

One of Binfield or Flackwell will be joining Franchise, Beaconsfield and Bracknell in the semi finals, presume the draw is next week sometime after the Binfield game?

Incidentally the player injured in the Bracknell/Reading tie was forward Haydon Vaughan who is now awaiting an MRI scan. Hope he makes a full recovery and is back playing quickly.

Different team sheets in the B&B… love to see proper football still going strong

Sure you are correct in that assumption. At least it gave extra time to get the car out of the car park before the dreaded 10pm lock in :D
