Had a dream about a month ago that i was at the stadium and got word that a deal probably wasn't going to happen, and then shortly after, only 2 or 3 days i think, the Platek deal collapsed I've been quite hopeful for the last 3 weeks that a deal would be done. The only doubt was whether it would be done in time for the playoffs. Great to get it confirmed!

Wish I was there today but at least i'm able to watch.

Is everyone sure the sale has actually been confirmed as all I read from it is that there are still some legal formalities to go through and the EFL have granted yet another extension.

This is the line that has me a tiny bit concerned : The EFL has now also extended the deadline for Dai Yongge to divest his shares in the club until May 8 while legal proceedings are finalised.

I hope you are all correct and this saga is coming to an end.

While it`s understandable to be a bit anxious after what`s happened over the last 2 years the statement also says that it isn`t expected to be an issue, and Couhig has publicly said that he wouldn`t come back unless a deal is signed and sealed.

The EFL has received confirmation from all parties that a sale has been agreed in principle with Redwood Holdings Limited, with the transaction expected to be completed shortly, once final legal technicalities have been completed.

As such, the EFL Board has agreed to extend the time allowed for Mr Dai Yongge to divest his interests until Thursday 8 May, subject to compliance with all other EFL regulations.
