Crusader Royal Scrub away season tickets, no revenue for us in selling tickets on behalf of another club and only any point of most games are sold out. Even then we already have a way of prioritising sales .
Music events are very hard to do here. We’re too close to London and they are a huge commercial risk.
We can’t 8i
run non match day events on the car park as we don’t own it.
Summer tournaments - no chance, the pitch has to be got back into shape and there is only a couple of months to do it in.
Schools and clubs already hire out the Domes.
How would pop up fan zones work ? Would people sit in the rain on a Saturday afternoon to watch us away at Barnsley when they can watch it at home ? How would it make money (enough to guarantee it didn’t lose money) ?
We already have a membership scheme with different tiers. Doesn’t make any money. They have done various things with it including meet the player events and access to training.
Lounges and boxes do get used for events - business meetings, product launches, Christmas company events
And with most of the others it’s easy to have vague ideas but much harder to make them work and make money. No reason not to brainstorm stuff of course but a lot of it has been done before…..

MouldyRoyal I think Reading hiring it out to other clubs etc would constitute Reading using it since they are benefitting from it financially, but I can't remember the exact wording of the Planning Permission

Yeah New Zealand trained at Bearwood last season didn't they so I am sure there's scope for the club to rent it out in certain circumstances.

Sutekh Re: news of the take over being confirmed. Isn’t this the sort of thing that should attract a press conference at the club to officially confirm given both Rob and Todd are in the country. Would be the obvious way to start and for local media to ask the obvious questions before the big hitters of Tim at the Beeb and James at the Chronic give the new owners a separate grilling about the plans going forward.

Schmeichel the dog With 90 mins to go until the extension deadline, and despite being told ‘there is nothing to be concerned about’, is anyone becoming concerned? Even just slightly?

Reading4eva Tim Dellor? Big Hitter?
I wouldn't trust him to tie my shoelaces. He would probably do it wrong

That only thing Dellor can grill is a rasher of bacon

blueroyals The club shouldn’t have made an announcement if there were still things that could go wrong or get delayed. Couhig’s jumped the gun again.

East Grinstead Royal Given all that’s happened, someone assuring us there’s nothing to worry about is no assurance whatsoever, I’m afraid.
