I'm guessing the plan for success will be no more than 3 years....

Anyone tried to work out what's on the various papers on the desk?

The one they're signing has a Kitson Boyce letterhead, who are acting as their solicitors.

The one with marker pen looks like an org chart of some kind

The other one looks like a financial statement

If it's an organisational chart I hope Pang isn't on it. Or Nigel Howe. Or Graham O'Dell. Or Dai's sister. And Tim Dellor.

I wonder if Huang Kad will be named as International Scouting Director

Can they do an announcement that Pang is fcuking off too? I know it'll be taken for granted, but would be good to hear, ideally with some highly disrespectful references to pissy Pang.

Just heard that yesterday's announcement was held up by some EFL admin stuff. 100% today.

Just to add to this, and I saw this on Twitter last night. But I'd love to see either a press conference - do we even do these? Or some form of full audit/report/interview thingy, where it's entirely clear what the status is and what the immediate situation is.

For example:

"Hi Ding fans - it's Couhig and Todd here, the charts below show the heirarchy when we took over compared to now, having made some initial changes. DY has fecked off iwth his sister, and so have these other greedy scumbags"

"Here's the current financials, and player wages, debts etc."

"Our priorities (in really basic terms) are the following:"

... that kind of thing? It's felt like years since we had any clue what was going on. Even staff at the club didn't know.

Couhig is a businessman. He'll release the minimum amount of information that is legally required. It doesn't benefit him to do anything more as it can have negative implications in terms of getting the best deals.

Kieran Maguire explains it all that basically when you announce your priorities, or how much you have to spend, that's basically just giving up any negotiating power you have. It's like going to the second hand car dealership and saying that you are determined to get a 10 year old 5 door car and have £4k to spend. They will coincidentally find you a 10 year old car costing exactly £4k. If you announce that you're looking to make £1m of player sales then . . . coincidentally you'll find that no one offers you more than £1m for any of your players - because they know you will take it.

Yeah this. But this is where STAR(ofl) can make a big difference. They could he given that level of detail in a confidential meeting so it isn’t available to other clubs. And can then when the club puts out a very broad brush strokes plan, say they've seen the detail, and critique it without actually giving away any of the detail.

I understand some of this, and I am not expecting in-depth things and even the finances are not my biggest concerns. I trust couhig and trosclair as they're legitimate/real businessman with a proven record of acting in good faith. My biggest wish is just to have some communication.

Whether that's a senior director, or proper fan involvement, etc it doesn't matter.

But the last few years we've just been continually ignored whilst major things are happening. I think you can communicate, be ore open and transparent, whilst also maintaining a level of business acumen and confidentiatlity.

Hopefully when Pang does go (if he hasn’t already) they will thank him for everything he has done at the club, the commitment he has shown through some difficult times and wish him every success in his future activities.

Biggest foul up of the previous idiot was the silence. Nothing. No one seemingly being told anything and no one seemingly empowered to do anything. Be good to have an owner that does talk and do the occasional interview and the necessary people around them that can run things and get hold of the owners when they’re actually needed rather than having to wait for the off chance that they might call in sometime.

I'd say it was spending more money than was allowed under the rules and thus suffering multiple points deductions, but as they say, it's a game of opinions.

This is a pretty broad statement - I'm interested in the evidence for this, beyond owning Wycombe for a bit.

Given everything that has happened, I'd say trust has to be earned....

Couhig's track record at Wycombe in this regard was pretty good; he did communicate with the fans, so that is a big plus.

Personally, I am really positive for the future of the club; they are getting a new owner who has already owned an EFL club at this level, a club that under Couhig's ownership has - lets be honest - punched above its weight. No disrespect to Wycombe, but Reading IS a bigger club and has much more potential.

We showed what we could do on the pitch this season and our youngsters have had a full season of L1 football under their belts; if we can bring in a 20 goal a season striker, we will be competing for the play offs next season.

However, it is what happens off the pitch that will be most interesting; Couhig has spoken of his desire to improve the matchday experience for fans, and if he can do that allied to a team playing attractive (and winning) football, then things can only look bright for the future.

Many years ago, when I was first promoted to a role at work that involved staff management, my boss told me that an easy to learn lesson was to always think about the message you are sending to people, as well as the words you are using. Even when you say nothing, you are sending a message. The way you present the words can subtly change the message. The Pang / Yongge regime never learnt those lessons. Protracted silences followed by mealy-mouthed written statements - not the way to do it!

Honestly at this point in time I’m just pleased we’ve still a club to support

All I want to hear at the moment is Dai and his gang have gone and the club has been pieced back together under one owner/company

My sources tell me they're looking at signing Moore and Ejaria in a bid to get out of this division as quickly as possible.

This does however conflict with other sources suggesting they actually want us to get promoted to the Champ so I don't know what to believe.

Watch this space.
