Gotta feel for Valencia. Years of catastrophic mis-management, they're finally turning the corner, then they appoint the walking disaster that is Ron Gourlay. Maybe they should get Kia Joorabchian in as a football consultant and Paul Ince as manager and full out for oblivion.

Not an ex player, but after presiding over tumultuous eras for Reading and West Brom and overseeing spending that was seen as irresponsible even by Saudi league standards, Gourlay has been appointed CEO of Valencia. He must have an exceptionally agent given his failures can all be seen in the public domain.

Will he be as successful as the last ex Man Utd person they employed?

I'll give them some credit though, for a club that have recently experienced serious financial issues, it's a bold appointment.

Valencia are my local team here in Spain. Honestly can't believe Ron Goarlay is going to ruin both my birthplace club and the club in the place where I was brought up.

If this transfer goes through we will receive part of a 5% solidarity payment for having Jamie Bynoe-Gittens at the club between the ages of 12-23.

Would receive some of the €2.5m for his time at #ReadingFC

That’s rather misleading !
The £2.5 million is split between the clubs he was at between those ages, as we know he wasn’t at Reading for the whole time !
