Brogue Craig was asking to be the highest paid player and wanted 12k per week

If that’s true, which I doubt, he must have a right **** for an agent.

I take it all with a pinch of salt; I don't believe it being honest. If true, he obviously didn't want to stay, as he must have known he's not worth that. Nobody else will offer him that.

EPK can confirm I’m sure. I’m not winding you up, these we’re his demands.

If it's true, or even close to being true, then we've done the right thing by saying so long.

The latest X fun this morning is that Beale, who had agreed to come has now changed his mind having been offered more money by Leicester.

If true, and money is one of the drivers (as it should be really) we can't compete with a club that has dropped out of the PL.

Be interesting to see where he ends up; that's upper championship wages.

Also rumours online that we've been gazumped to our first choice assistant manager by Leicester, which if true is generating a ludicrous over reaction. Only natural a team recently relegated from the PL would be more appealing, even if they're not in a great state.

Sutekh Revised list by position.

The OS lists Tyler Sackey still, thought he had left the club?

Considered as 1st team squad

Not sure if anyone answered this point but Tyler Sackey was on the May retained list as still being under contract.

Right lubala signing today, Jacobs tomorrow. Craig is going to Orient. And we've turned down a 1 Million pound bid for Harvey Knibbs.

Thanks

Leicester don't have a manager at the moment. What if the new manager brings in his own management team?

Your assuming hes been offered the same job there as we offered. He may have been offered a Academy Head role for example which he may feel is a better suit for his skillset esp with more money.

Or, of course, it's complete made up rubbish.

Does that mean Orient are paying Craig 12k? Seems a bit unlikely.

If not, he may be making a side-ways (at best) move for no good reason.

It's great shame because I really rated him (I had in on my potential player of the season list). I expect he'll do well elsewhere.

All the reports (not official) say Beale "looks set to" join rather than he signed a piece of paper. So he never even joined

Even this article (which is quoted on Wiki) says the RFC hadn't confirmed it

Yet everyone took it as a done deal

https://rdg.today/new-assistant-manager ... -revealed/

Rule One - If the club hasn't confirmed a signing, it doesn't exist.

I also like Craig but do feel we’re kind of bigging him up a bit more than is necessary

Decent player but I’d take all our current midfield ahead of him. He did ok at RB but certainly wasn’t brillint there

If he is asking more than his worth then good on the club for sticking to its guns here. He’s definitely replaceable

Agreed - this was the issue before. Once you agree to one players demand then it snowballs

If £12k a week would have made him the highest paid player in the squad.

What is the current highest paid weekly wage at Reading FC?

Would imagine it'll be one of Wing or JP - probably around £8k - £10kish?
