Pepe the Horseman Nice. Does make me worry about Bowler though considering how quickly this one has gone through.

Being optimistic, I would have thought that Fraser being on a free would mean it would be quicker to conclude. We also don't know how long it has been in the works; Bowler's name has been around for longer but all we have to go on is rumours.

Got to be honest, from what I've heard I'm almost looking forward to injuries and suspensions in midfield so he gets a chance to compete. It's our strongest position so he'll almost certainly start on the bench, but he sounds like a high calibre signing who could really make an impact with the chance. When did we last have depth like that?

I’m not sure he will start on the bench for long

Talented as the midfield is, it did go missing at times last year

I reckon it may well end up Fraser/Savage/Wing which is very tidy.

Knibbs (if he stays) on the wing. Elliot on the bench

Style matters a lot. If we want to maintain a high press like Selles did, Knibbs has to play. But if we're happy to be a bit deeper and focus on solidity, he could well be dropped or forced wide. Or maybe there is something in the transfer rumours, and we're preparing for a different style without him.

We'd miss his goal output; you'd want Wing and Savage breaking into the box a lot more with Fraser behind them.

Like this signing, gives more tactical flexibility and adds some steel to our sometimes lightweight midfield. Also frees up Wing to push forward or not play every single minute of L1 again lol.

Crawley fans speak highly of him too.

Welcome to the club!

Definitely, we may find keeping Wing in the DM position is still our best option but if we're chasing a game it will surely be beneficial to push Wing further forward.

Talking of high presses, and going off on a slight tangent, Barnsley fans reckon that one of Devante Cole's biggest strengths is playing the lone striker in a high press.

Interesting- I think if we could get Cole/Kelvin E/Bowler all signed then we’d be good to go for the season (with maybe another loan or two as we go)

Yeah, tiny bit different them saying he is very decent for the level they just played at and we do rather than rating a player who then has to jump up to playing at the top level from League 2.

Instead of making crap jokes on here can you go and find out what’s going on with the latter 2?

You must be new here! but come on man you wrote E/Bowler. I took the tap in.

If I hear anymore I’ll let you’s know. But perhaps someone can have a word with James earnshaw at the chronic as he gets paid to do what you’re asking from me. He’s has had an absolute shocker so far. All he does is repost stuff from the club official Twitter account. Not heard a single rumour or anything from the bloke. I’ve got a full time job and a family to run yet I’ve managed to get info on the regs. What’s is he up to, what’s he doing 8 hours a day 5 days a week?

Does your source know you're spreading what they tell you all over twitter and HNA?

Even if they do, they probably consider it as being a far smaller reach than an actual journalist. Randos at the club will be much less likely to just tell a journo what's on unless approved to do so. If the club want something in the media, they arrange for it to be in the media.

Especially as Couhig has made reference to firing leakers.

“There are no leaks from our organisation, nobody’s going around saying ‘hey I’ve heard this or that’. Because anybody who leaks gets fired. Pretty black and white deal for us and we had to do it because of the way the club operated before.”

Hound Does anyone else find spamming every rumour thread with ‘I’d rather have..:’ about as funny as spending an hour in a broken down lift with Millsy?
Would rather spend an hour in a broken down lift with Scarlet Johansson
