So what is the plan this season? Is it to penny pinch our way to safety or to get promoted at the first opportunity (and therefore increase the value of the club?)

Have players really visited Bearwood and upped their demands? Has the EFL really been scrutinising everything over this summer's transfer window therefore impacting on deals? Is Noel getting the support from the owners he needs?

Are the owners their worse enemies with their "Amazing stupendous transfer window" sound bites then not following it through terrible well?

NH “the ones we want are waiting to see if they can get a better offer financially elsewhere”

The club still exists which wasn't a given so that's to be applauded....

But...

It's been made abundantly clear that these new owners aren't cash rich - the budget is the budget is the budget....

Talking big and not delivering at Reading is different from doing so at Wycombe, but that's the way they've chosen...

Running a club like Reading FC in League 1 will cost the owners approx £10M a season....

So it could be they are being penny wise and pound foolish...

Ok as our new owners are big Trump fans I will start a conspiracy theory

Trump: AKA Rod and Todd
Loves to get others to take the fall for his cock ups: After watching that today I fear that Noel is being set up to fail and that Gareth Ainsworth will be here come 2026.(loyal to the King)
Loves a grudge: This was all a revenge to mission to get back the Sheet Brigade at the Wycombe training ground
Loves money: Sell all the gold and replace them with sprayed tin and copper
Loves a story: Over sell and under deliver and if anyone suspects just gaslight and deflect (gonna be the best most beautiful club in the world, never been Wi-Fi and hot dogs like it, in history.)

Wonder when they will release the Dai Yongge files

The answer has always been, and transparently so, to get the club back on an even keel, paying for itself, and build towards promotion and consolidation over 5 years.

They have been clear we'll be mostly dealing in frees and loans.

It's obvious we will need to regularly make high value player sales to fund the spending gap.

Anyone who hasn't long since worked this out, hasn’t been paying attention. And that's on them.

I’ve mentioned a few times how things are worse now than under dai.

A few of my contacts are now getting really fed up. Things are going to start going public soon.
